Aye but at least we have known nout about any of this til the 4th bid, more encouraging behind the scenes that things are happening and its not a 30 odd year old lichaj etc. Im confident we will be optimistic in 2 weeks

He's 2 years left. Your right they don't need cash but we've seen ourselves when a player or agents head is turned ther can only be one outcome.
Agree about Lichaj and that this would be a step in the right direction signing players for now and the future for a change. It means nothing if you can't get them in the building though.
You'd think if the offers right they'd accept and not drag it one. They'd want to get a replacement sorted and maybe use money elsewhere. They may have targets of their own.

Very true, but I’m saying that they might have a model in place so they can use their assets for regular cash injections especially with add ins such as sell on fees etc, just me speculating
Could be much less with money on promotions and appearances upping it to £1million. I expect if its our 4th bid though we've a fair idea what they want by now.

Just had a fortune from Watkins sale. Covid will have had an impact but they're well run. Likely why they rejected at least 3 bids. Still think we'll get him though.
Wrexham, were taken over at about the same time as SAFC, but they only had a manager change after the season ended.
Yet they have just signed the L2 golden boot and L2 player of the season winner - as a National League side it is the equivalent of us signing the Golden Boot winner from the Championship!
That is what can happen when your club gets its arse into gear and your rich (but not as rich as our) ownership realises that sustainability and spending are not mutually exclusive goals!

I get the feeling that if we were referring to SAFC then we would be twisting because Salma wanted us to pay her PA to arrange her trip over here and instead of getting a top shag in a couple of weeks then we would end up with no shag now and doing a frantic tinder sweep in a few weeks!
