Not personally, I live in the same area as them. The lad who I'm working with atm knows him well and said his brother was telling everybody openly last weekend. Says if he doesn't go this summer he will just run his contract down and leave next year.

Thats abit worrying why he's so desperate to leave then, why would he?
Theres something not sitting right with me and our club at the moment. No actual cash signings yet and then news like this? We are supposed to be the Man City of league one, or at least we thought we were 3 months ago?

Yeh I'm expecting Embleton to leave personally. Think he'll go to Blackpool quite late in the window. Will be gutted.
They can put their hands in their pockets then. They will be more keen to get him than we are to sell him. For me he stays unless we get a decent fee as if he goes for free next summer it will be because he hasnt become a key player. If he is here and gets his place and does well he will have as good an offer to stay as he will to move. We hold the cards on this one.

maybe not getting the assurances he wants after what was a very good season with blackpool...and if they want to offer him championship football then not a hard choice for a young lad with ambition.

Go to a club that is more than likely to get relegated back to League 1 or stay at his home town club, with a massive fanbase, stadium, state of the are training facilities and a rich chairman thats apparently going to take us back to where we belong? I know where id rather be.
Like i say, something doesn't sit right with me at all at the moment

His new contract is 8k apparently. That's decent wedge. He's fed up and thinks he'll never be a first team player so wants away.

i know which i would choose as well mate, but when these massive wages are being bandied about the lads will usually take the jump and hope they are as good as they think they are, personally i feel he would benefit from at least another season with plenty game time rather than making the jump up, just yet.

unfortunately, as we have seen just this week, the road to the premier league is far too long for most kids and they jump to soon, whether that is stepping up to the championship in the hope of promotion or straight to someones youth set up at the top.

I know his uncle and some of his old age family
Lost contact with all over 20 years ago
However I know his old family were proffesional footballers

What type of player is Embleton? He only has 14 appearances for SAFC according to Wiki and I haven't seen them all tbh. What are his strengths and what does he do well?

Hes an attacking midfielder mate, Blackpool played him there and out wide last season, but a few Blackpool fans weren't convinced by him when he got pushed wide

But what sort of player is he? Tricky dribbler? Eye for a pass? Goalscoring no 10? Thunderous shot? Brilliant at set pieces? Hardworking 'grafter'? I've no idea tbh. He only scored one for Blackpool in 18. I haven't seen enough of him to suggest he is the answer to our problems tbh. We've had 5 permanent managers since his debut in 2017 and they haven't played home either. 3 goals in 28 games for Grimsby in L2 as well. Doesn't really set my pulse racing tbh.

I just dont rate him that much so wouldn't be bothered if we got a fee for him. Admittedly I havnt seen that much of him but he looks a bit weak with not enough pace (Diamond) or skill (McGeady) to warrant a start. Hope he proves me wrong with 10 goals and 10 assists.

I read it when it came out and I can't say I've seen that from him in a Sunderland shirt tbh. I hope he comes good for us but if I was rating him it would be 5 out of 10. Hope he comes good but won't lose sleep if he leaves.

That's not good news. I know he's not our player but hope he gets well soon and finds a club. Do you know how he got injured?

That'll teach him not to accept a contract. (I don't really mean that and hope he can recover. Must be a bit worrying to be injured not being attached to any club).
