I'd reserve judgement until the transfer window closes mate. Certainly wouldn't be paying any attention to the WUMs over the road - they are desperate to destabilise things within the fanbase without any proof

I know people disagreed with me last time but I still think a SAFC Unfiltered podcast, or even just a short video on the website from Speakman or KLD reiterating our stance and confidence levels etc, would be good for the fanbase. Rather than Johnson’s comments being second guessed constantly.
You’re right mate. You can’t judge a transfer window until it’s over but the length of time we’ve taken to sign 3 players is an absolute joke. It’s not to much to ask to be somewhere near done with less than 2 weeks before a season starts.

We're in the mix for a number of players..but they have to fit into the sustainable budget model. We won't pay over the odds to get them here..which we have done before.
Is it? It sounds like we are tracking players a level above those that our supposed rivals are. If it takes time to get lads from the PL or the Championship then I'd rather we did that. No-one knows what is happening behind the scenes, nor is signing players the same as a video game. I find the lack of patience with the new regime staggering

He would not be drawn on claims that a deal was imminent, but said he was optimistic of further arrivals soon.

"He's a player on a list of ten or twelve options.
"We always want two for every position, and the plan is always to go in with probably 20 senior players and maybe four of the better younger ones to supplement that.

Nothing negative either though. We are in for players. Good enough players that other teams want i.e we are in the mix. Roll on Friday.
People expecting Johnson to name players who are signing or who we are bidding for etc. It doesn't work like that - every manager plays things down like this
