It is obvious that the transfer window has a different process going on this time round.

However the ultimate outcome, ie good players in, is still the same...

As I have mentioned before we have lots of 'irons in fires', but in yet another cliche, we have to get them over the line!

    Selling club implies a fee?

Now I don't mean to be the one to say he said, she said..over the road...blah, blah, blah.

But, Bob is making some quite remarkable comments (out of any kind of context, I might add) to suggest that Harvey and Speakman are; clueless, embarrassing and arrogant. Implying they don't know how to structure deals and therefore missing out on players and will end up with journeymen in a months time.

Now it doesn't seem, on recent evidence, to be the case thus far (Pritchard, Evans, Doyle) but I thought it would cause some discussion!

Wheatsheaf, appreciate the information on the CB! Hopefully he can be released soon and provide some welcome relief to those worrying about further signings

Exeter fan claiming Key is with the Exeter squad. Might be worth keeping an eye out for the managers interview after the game. I’m sure he will be asked about it.

When we get our CB through the door then Wright leaves. (Source - Wright is definitely OFF).

To me, it sounds like whoever is dealing with Speakman and Harvey just doesn’t like that they are playing hardball. It’s likely agents whoever Bob is talking to. Which is a good thing in my opinion that we aren’t bending to the will of agents and doing things properly.

As you have said, we are clearly doing some deals for what seem to be the right players. It’s better than how we did things previously with Donald and co.

It is agents he is speaking too so I reckon you are right

  18. He claims he’s breakfasting or lunching with agents/ financial advisors. If he is, and if they’ve tried to deal with the club and been told to do one, he’ll lap anything negative up and post it. Most of his posts are critical of the people at the club, claiming an insight from his contacts into club incompetence.

    I
I dont know Bob or his credibility but that sort of info seems highly implausible to me. I would imagine only disgruntled players or agents would say such things, i.e. those who havent got what they want. To call them clueless after their record at championship level, and after the sort of reference Mowbray gave, seems like a case of sour grapes to me. I reckon these comments arent worth worrying about personally.
