Perhaps, depends how firm SR are I guess. As Sulemana has already said, he will be okay to come back to pre-season.
Just me reading [probably wrongly] between the lines, but if someone says - we'll see what happens. 'If I have to remain' at Southampton. It doesn't sound to like he's terribly commited to staying.
If only there was such thing as industrial espionage in football, Shields would surely be culpable of it. Rocked up, scouted our players (luckily most are ****), ****ed off. Although Lavia came with his prior knowledge so I guess I can’t complain too much there. On a side note - I reckon Chelsea would be bad for Lavia’s career with their habit of stockpiling young talent and letting it rot. Basically signing players to deprive other clubs of them rather than signing them to play them. But he could probably break in under Poch I guess.
Lavia and Fernandes reminds me alot of Morgan and Wanyama albeit Lavia Is alot more technically sound than Wanyama
Of course, Shields rocked up here with a full dossier on the Man City youth that he had overseen, including Lavia, and proceeded to sign four of them. And yeah, for Lavia's career, working under Poch would be nearly ideal.
I don't know - it's one of those quotes that very likely reads a lot worse (in a second language) than it is expressed verbally. I think he's just saying if Saints accept an offer, then he'd of course look at it (sensible), but if they don't receive any, or don't accept any, then that is fine too. Which is actually quite positive. It's certainly not someone pushing for a move.
Actually wouldn’t mind JWP to Spurs. Sounds like a good fit for him, mid-table club with occasional higher aspirations. He could form a decent partnership with the occasionally quite good Hjobjerg.
Dear Chelsea. RE:Lavia. 50m plus Borja and Ampadu for the season with a clause to sign if promoted will do just fine thank you.
