Must be a lot of pressure on Tottenham this season, they just have to win something surely.
Spent a lot and now playing at the new stadium where they are unbeatable.

6th year with Poch at the helm too. He's made repeated threats about leaving. If they don't win anything again this season, I think his position becomes untenable.

Decent window for you without being spectacular. You've addressed the Dembele issue by getting Ndombele and Sessegnon is a decent aquisition at LB. Don't really know anything about Lo Celso, but I'm sure Kipper has been scouting him for years so he'll be able to give me the lowdown.

The biggest issues for Spurs though are at RB, where you've got Aurier who's **** and Foyth who is another donkey, but more importantly losing Eriksen which looks inevitable now. Don't mind admitting that I was ****ting it that you'd get Coutinho or Dybala, thankfully you got neither.

Both Lo Celso and Ndombele bring a new level to our CM. They add creativity and goals which we've massively lacked from the midfield and there's a possibility that if Eriksen goes, we'll go 433 and look for those two to be the main creators in a different style of play.
Sessegnon adds strength down all of the left, right now I think he's better to provide competition for Son but long term his future is at LB.
RB we'll likely give Walker-Peters a go. Trippier was so bad last year that I doubt KWP can be any worse.
Coutinho/ Dybala would've been great signings but we're still looking pretty strong. We've also had a solid pre-season for the first time in about 3-4 years so I'm hoping that does us well over the season.

You seem to think I care what you and a few other tits think, Miranda ... sorry to disappoint you sweetheart

Ben Chilwell and Ricardo Pereira ... are up there with any teams wing backs ... no problem ...
The best wing-backs in the Prem! lol, has your wine been laced with opium.

Well, time for the talking to stop and the football to get played now. We have a tough start, not looking forward to it.

Can't wait for the season to start. Seems like it's been a ****ing long transfer window this one. Pleased with our business and we should go into the season stronger than last year. <ok>

If they still sell Eriksen and maybe Rose as well, then their net spend could be **** all again.

I hate the fact we're opening tomorrow night. Could easily slip up and with teams strengthening around us it's going to be tough.

No way will we repeat last season and my worry is City probably will. They've done it twice in a row and have bought wisely.

Basically the nerves are kicking in.

I suppose if that happens though the argument is...have they strengthened? Dembele, Eriksen, Rose and Trippier out. The 3 new guys seem like for like and aren't proven at this level.

They keep Eriksen then they've done very well. But it seems a dead cert he's off either now or in Jan.

Lo Celso is highly rated, but I haven't seen enough of him to be able to judge.
Pochettino's main target though, apparently. Good to get it done just because of that, in my opinion.

Exactly.

Poch can have no grumbles now. He’s got some great young players to work with, plus young Clarke to come in, next season.

I think it demonstrates just how much Lewis and Levy want to keep Poch happy that we’ve smashed our transfer record to smithereens!

Dembele was becoming a passenger - good for 60 mins, if we we’re lucky.

Trippier - never up to the required standard, imo. No great loss for me.

Eriksen - he’ll be missed, but not if he plays like he did in the CL final. Fades in and out of games.

Rose - obviously Poch wants rid and sees Sessegnon as his replacement. I’d be sorry to see him go. I think he still offers us a lot.

Depends if eriksen leaves. If he does i would say its been average. Obviously ndombele is a good addition but lo celso for eriksen weakens them and trippier has also been sold for 2 unknown newbies + aurier.

I am a defender of Trippier and even I think he was beyond woeful from October onwards.
The talk is of Sissoko and Foyth playing there this season.

You jizzed your pants because you thought Spurs were signing him Kipper <laugh>

If we really wanted him, we would have got him. I reckon Levy used him to keep Betis focussed on the Lo Celso deal.

The man is a genius.
