Gonna be a weird summer for us. Likely set to lose Toby and Eriksen but there's still a decent amount of optimism that if we sign the right players we could do something big.

If we sign an elite CM and RB, replace the two key outgoings and then try do pull a rabbit out of the hat with a signing like Bale or that ilk, it could prove huge for us.

I'll put my head on the block with this one. Maguire is in no way worth 70 million quid. That's Van Dijk money and they're worlds apart. Maguire is too slow on the turn. I think if he goes to a top top side, he'll flop and look out of place.

It's that stupid HG premium, he's worth about half that figure but because he helps with HG quota his price practically doubles. Shows the desperation though of clubs looking for proven HG talent instead of just giving more opportunities to their youth.

Yeah, exactly. He was listed in the top 20 slowest players, a place behind Tom Huddlestone <doh>

If I was Leicester I would be snapping their hands off. I can't believe Guardiola would want him. He's not a ball playing centre half, he doesn't fit his philosophy.

Tommy Hudd, what a guy lol.

Yeah I'd take £70m all day long for him. He's a good CB don't get me wrong but that sort of money you have to expect one of the best in the world, which he simply ain't.

So everyone ready for the Southampton exodus 2019 edition?

First up, we've got European Championship winner Cedric Soares at right back, decent enough at PL level and will probably go for about £12m.

Then we have Wesley Hoedt, ex Lazio Dutch cb once highly rated around Europe. £8m.

Another cb but this time Jack Stephens, comes with added incentive of being from our academy (well not really) and at a sprightly 25 still considered young by a fair chunk of the fanbase. Might do a job for Sunderland if they go up.

Then we have ex England international goalkeeper Fraser Forster, conceded only 33 goals in 2014/15, someone please ****ing take him.

Others available on request.

Strange to be going into Summer hoping for a lot of player sales for once.

We’re the same mate, a fair chunk needs shifting.

Vorm and Llorente’s deals ends. Trippier, Aurier, Wanyama, Nkoudou, Janssen and Lamela need to follow them out the door. The latter the toughest one, because on his day he’s great but he’s just too injury prone to be useful.

First transfer window I can remember that I don't feel we have much deadwood to get rid of and don't really need any big signings. I would have liked De Ligt to partner his fellow Dutchman at the back, but no biggie.

Hoping for LB cover and a versatile forward. Perhaps Tino Werner.

It's a nice position to be in :emoticon-0165-muscl

Rumour has it that Chavs won't be signing anyone next season.
<cheers>

Let's see if those fcukers can still finish top four, like we didn't.

I think you need a top class CM.

Henderson and co don’t cut it and that was probably the difference between you lot and City.

Somebody like Pjanic.

United for a variety of reasons will be linked to virtually every player, quite often as a way of driving up the price for the actual club that ends up buying them. You can see it already in the papers. So generally not going to take any transfer news regarding the club seriously until the deal is done.

At this stage I'd be quite happy if we can make a quick signing for Daniel James and Wan Bissaka. But that's a wishlist rather than a reality atm.

You'll be linked to every player in our first XI.

And Poch.

No mate, the way we play our CM is purely the engine. It's no coincidence our FBs have both broken records for assists this season. Our attacks come from basically a front 5 that include 2 fbs.

We have AOC back and he was dynamite under Klopp before getting injured. Also, I know you hate this but Keita was looking very good before his injury.

We're well stocked in CM, if Milner goes we could do with bolstering. Hendo is perfect for klopps system so I'm not buying the Hendo argument anymore <ok>

He wasn’t mate, he wasn’t looking good at all. I was watching the same games that you were watching. He was looking average, which was a vast improvement for him.

I am going to put this thread on ignore for at least 7 weeks as I don't think we have qualified for the Transfer Window Tournament again this year.

The only transfer the Toon will be making this Summer is another multi million pound bonus to Ashley's private bank account.
