Really think, 2-3 defenders and maybe a GK in January and we'll be capable of a top 10 finish. Midfield and attack is sorted.

I'd be tempted to just shift that around a bit:

i think there are 3 teams with worse squads than us, Villa, Reading, Wigan. and there is always a surprise team who struggle

Can I just say what a polite and genuinely enthusiastic bunch the Southampton fans are. Unlike some.

really?

Really could go either way for them. On paper they've brought in good players, but Hughes has got a real job on his hands to get them all playing together.

They're good players but not smart signings in my opinion. Why sign a keeper when you've already got Rob Green? Why sign two of the most attacking full backs in the league when you're not going to be controlling games? And who's going to score their goals? It's a recipe for disaster I reckon.

Have you seen with some of the **** he gets from fans on there?

We're lucky that at the moment we seem to have him as someone with his finger very much on the pulse.

We've signed the Captain of the Japanese Olympic team,Northern Ireland Captain, the one of the most promising right backs in the UK,Mayuka who has played in the Europa League and won the African Cup of Nations,Gaston Ramirez who plays for the 4th best side in the world who are current holders of the Copa America for a club record, Jay Rod who is an exciting young striker, I don't know much about about Gazza, but he is supposed to be a hot prospect.

ffs.

Certainly is a bit of a pick and mix. Going to be bizarre seeing Granero lining up next to... Shaun Derry.

In fairness M'Bia and Diakite will go a long way to helping them get more of a foothold in games. Both of them are very good and physical, they won't be bullied around.

Green is such an overrated GK.
