They say footballers are mercenaries now-a-days, but I think the fans are as bad. Even when a player gives a 100% effort & has exemplary behavior off & on the pitch. Playing well & moving the club forward. Suddenly the next day theres someone better on youtube. Christ, I think I owe Kenwyne a big apology, it seems we are no different after-all. Always looking for greener pastures, sometimes with our eyes closed.

I am a little surprised people wouldnt take Owen, even if Sharp left...I think he still has plently to offer, so many people on here call for experience...Sharp is a great player, but I personally dont see him getting any better than he is, and I dont think he is quite at Owens level currently.

Sharp is banging in goals for fun like he was at the end of last season. Owen is miles past it and he has a massive attitude problem.

Yes we all get paid to watch Saints don't we :).

BBC Live Feed:

Italian football expert James Horncastle: "The gong has sounded in Italy, as the transfer window here comes to a close. Clubs can no longer buy players but they are still able to sell to those based in countries, such as England, where the deadline has not yet passed, so Southampton fans fear not, there is still time to sign Gaston Ramirez from Bologna. In fact, there have been unconfirmed reports from Sky Italia that the deal has been done."

Interesting that both the player and adkins called mayuka a striker, so perhaps he'll play more centrally? (I think i've read to much into that) but he also said that we might be in the market for a winger.

Yes Sharp has done well and given us 100% and I would like him to stay, but if we were to be offered £4 million for our 3rd choice striker I think we would be foolish not to consider it.
