I wonder if there's a reason this hasn't really been picked up by English media yet?

When BC pulled out of Pompey, Solent tweeted that they were waiting for official confirmation from the club before tweeting what only Sky had said.
Otherwise it would be pretty unprofessional if they were found to be wrong...

Probably the same thing with Ramirez deal..

Last time I checked most British media sources couldn't care less about being unprofessional. I just wonder why there's been nothing in a rag like the Sun or Star.

Honest question..

How good is Ramirez?? What type of player is he?
I know jack about him. Can anyone shed some light? and not by using FIFA 12 ratings.

Is he a starter or a bench warmer  ?

@SkySportsNews: SKY SOURCES: Bologna accept £11.8m bid from Southampton for midfielder Gaston Ramirez. #SSN

I can't believe it. It's official bid accepted by sounds of it!!!!

Dont know if this has been posted

Juve and Inter him in Italy, but he chose Southampton. Gaston Ramirez is another young talent who hails Italian football. This time the direction is not Paris, strangely, but England. The English club will pay rossoblù coffers 15 million euros, while the Player shall be bound with a four-year contract by 2.5 million net per annum. A surprise choice, that the Uruguayan tries to explain to the Gazzetta dello Sport: "Southampton I searched for real. I wanted to play them again, not to be one of many. I need to grow, and to grow you have to play". The real problem for his transfer in a big Italian were not the motivation, but the lack of teams who might invest some figures: "In Italy there is crisis and Bologna wanted 15 million. In Italy there are that money ". Experience in Emilia remains positive. The rossoblù square has forged a potential Champion: "Bologna I welcomed in a very special way, thank you so much. Here I was happy. I hope you now understand that for me it's time to go ". And among the most beautiful memories in the series there is also the new home white: "The best memories are Bologna, Ronaldinho and Pirlo opponents, Juventus Stadium: the most beautiful
A. Then Casablanca, a friend, but I don't know if now will come away too. And if they knew ... no, I couldn't just say ".

God I hope this is true! Brilliant stuff. Deserves it's own thread.

Can't believe this I nearly fell off my chair. We need him in and signed quickly. Someone said he rumoured to be flying over to us yesterday so maybe an outside chance of a deal today?

I am right in thinking we do
Still support southampton don't we?
Southampton don't offer 11.8 million for Jesus Christ himself?
