Just did some reading into the Buttner issue.

His Dad has a "finder's fee" contract. Vitesse dispute that.

He wants 600,000 euro for travelling costs etc. for the duration of his son's prospective contract, say for 3 or 4 years in England.

He has been offered 275,000 - he rejected it. They went to court as Buttner has been forced to train alone and is not being played by Vitesse at all.

Saints were asked if they would subsidise this deal, which they refused as they had never agreed this contract.

The family took Vitesse Arnhem to court and Buttner lost the case (apparently) and Vitesse say their compensation offer stands.

But presumably Southampton's offer doesn't.

Also a titbit on the Ramirez situation. There's a person on SaintsWeb called "K,Billy's Supersound". He has been 'ITK' so to speak on the progression of deals for Gazzaniga and Davis amongst others in the past, he gets his info from the same source as Guan 2.0 over there apparently. The other day he said he didn't expect anything to happen this side of the weekend.

He's just posted:

"a bit late now i know but going back on my opinion in my last post that signing Ramirez would be wishfull thinking. i have just read a text sent yesterday saying that we are in talks with both him Matt Phillips. Guess i am wrong to still have a dell size mentality."

But presumably Southampton's offer doesn't.

If they come back, hat in hand, and say "we've sorted it all out and please will take young mister Buttner here", I'm guessing that it goes through. The only thing better than teaching a Very Special Lesson about how the team does business is to have that business conclude with the player reaffirming their desire to be a part of the team.

Alot of Blackpool fans seem to think Puncheon is part of Matt Phillips bid, seems abit extensive at 6 million and a player, especially our most effective player in pre-season

can someone be a darling and translate this? dnt no hw to do it on my phone

In the arbitration case between Vitesse and Alexander Büttner, the arbitration committee of the KNVB Vitesse at all points in their favor.

"During the hearing on 7 August last took place in Zeist, Büttner demanded termination of his contract because he believes there was one, at the hands of Vitesse, irreparably disrupted employment relationship. His lawyer argued before a number of arguments. Vitesse, in this case assisted by the FBO (Federation of professional football organizations) through counsel Frans de Weger, said that there was no evidence of a disrupted employment relationship and also proposed that Büttner a transition to the English club Southampton had himself blocked. The arbitration does not concur with the statements Büttner and his lawyer said. The arbitration panel ruled that not only the fact that there was progress between all parties agreed was a transition from Büttner to Southampton, but also that the failure of this transition risk and expense of coming Büttner. In the opinion of the committee was incomprehensible that Büttner not to the medical examination has traveled to Southampton and there is thus no reason for the fixed-term contract to terminate. Furthermore, the Committee did not reveal Büttner was entitled to additional compensation. The alternative claims, namely admission to the selection of the first team and the inclusion of a limited transfer fee, were rejected. CEO Erwin Kasakowski: "It's always annoying when a business dispute before a court must be fought, because you together can not overcome. The committee has clearly expressed. "
