We've signed two players but already, and this hopefully isn't too rose-tinted, I feel our transfer aims are of a higher standard, a higher quality of player.

I think we will sign a similar amount of players too, they're just doing it quickly.

Lets think...

1 or 2 GK's
1 or 2 CB's
Clyne
Davis
Rodriguez

and maybe Buttner?

That's a possible 8 players there.

Stick a RM in there. Also if we sign two keepers I'd imagine one of them to be one of the ones we're trialling - no hope of getting in the team but better than Forecast as a just in case/for the development team.

Talking of FIFA 12, check out the thread and if you like give me a few more attributes you would like me to look at, and I can sort it out in about 40 mins <ok>

I bought him several years into my career mode with Saints , when i heard we were about to sign him, he was 72 overall and pace of about 95. Means nothing but just thought i'd share it .

Championship team of the year...

Davis

Clyne - Tomkins - Davies - Harte

Phillips - Whittingham - Noble - Lallana

Lambert - Rodriguez

Now if we get Davies who we've been linked with, and Phillips, then we've almost got a complete set. That's pretty impressive.

I think Leicester will do really well this season. They have good players and Nigel Pearson is a decent manager. If he would have been in charge of them for all of last season I reckon they would have got promoted.
Out of the three sides that have got promoted to the championship, Charlton are the team to watch out for. Might be a possibility of them achieving what us and Norwich have done. Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield will do OK but won´t finish in the top 6. I expect Brighton to be right up there again, even though I would love them to get relegated and I expect Middlesbrough, Bristol City and Hull to struggle.

I think Wednesday will do very, very well. They have a terrific manager there, and are signing some pretty impressive names. They already had a solid squad there.

Huddersfield are being pretty ambitious in the transfer market, they're trying to tie up a deal for Ross Mcormack which will be impressive, so I think they'll be in and around the top 6. Brighton will probably be there as well tbh.

The team I expect to storm it would be Bolton. They've kept a nucleaus of a PL squad, I know it's easy to say as WHU did the same etc, but I also like Coyle - I think he's a good manager and I think Davies will flow with goals at that level.

Boro won't struggle that much, prob similar season to this one. I think you'll see the likes of Bolton, Blackburn, Wolves and possibly Wednesday battling it out for the top 2. That's my early call anyway.
