Hmmmm As impressive as his record is, and with TheSpanishSaints' commendation of him earlier, I'm not saying he wouldn't be a good signing, but do we really need somebody in his position?

I'm with Dan, I really like Hammond and Chaplow not because of there ability but what they bring to the team and what they've done for us over the last few seasons. It would be harsh to push them away, but then again its a cut throat business and we need to stay up... I'm certainly torn with this one.

Hammond will presumably be dropped to the bench/reserves, as will Chaplow, and Michu will contest with Davis, Cork and Schneiderlin for the two central positions.

If he is bringing in these players.. maybe he fancies the 3 in midfield

That's what I'm not really getting... Going 4-3-1-2 with Lallana behind forwards would make sense but.. who knows.

Never liked 4-3-1-2 when we played it, only worked well against United in the cup. Can't think of any other examples.
