I highly doubt it would progress so quickly and I imagine if Spurs accepted a £5m bid for someone a lot of the press would've picked up on it already.
 
Won't be Naughton, AVB wants to have a look at him before he decides whether to sell or not. Won't have had a chance yet.

Who's to say that Clyne is a lower quality option than Naughton anyway? If Adkins thinks he represents better value then who are we to argue?

And taking that argument to it's logical conclusion, we should be spending £40m on Philipp Lahm or someone.
 
Trying to think, just checked and Nixon says it's a "First XI" player, not a fringe player.

That Tomas Sivok the Czech CB we were linked to is still a free agent.

It's had a mention... could this be, a passing mention before that died quickly, or a sarcastic understatement - for example Butland who has clearly had more than just "a mention"? Actually either answer is looking too far into it. I'll wait and see.
 
Scanning through Nixon tweets and his written articles: So far all I have is Buttner, Butland, Naughton, Davis (signed now), also included Phillips/Ince due to Blackpool looking at a winger, but he tweeted that back on the 21/06/12. A few times he's mentioned a player from abroad but never there name.

I guess it's only a 24hr wait.... which most likely turn into a 2 week wait :)

Naughton has played in the Prem and had a good season with Norwich.Clyne hasn't played in the Premier league.
