Brek Shea is the hottest prospect in the MLS and has been linked to the UK many times (including a well publicised trial with Arsenal)

Also a little bit of a smile came up on watching Fourth Official's timeline. He posted Mirror's Rodriguez to Everton story as an example of papers getting things wrong and he's currently fielding questions about Rodriguez signing for Everton, people asking if there's truth in it etc.

So, they are now saying no Davis or Buttner. Not good. Can't believe the Davis thing wasn't sorted out properly in the first place.

LFF they wouldn't have announced it on OS etc if Nicola wasan't totally confident that there were no major legal issues. Buttner is different as asfar as I know the club have never confirmeda bid.

Apparently it is in the Star this morning (next to the picture of the girl with the big **** no doubt!).

Old news. Worst case scenario with Davis is we have to pay them compensation, and the noises coming from Büttner/Vitesse seem to suggest the '3rd party issue' has been resolved.

I know that Cortese is a hard-nosed businessman but he's also not stupid. He won't pull the plug on important transfers just because of a cheeky agent.

Well, its not all that old, its the latest story on NewsNow. Mind you the next one down says that the Buttner deal is back on. I think I'll stick to watching the news once a day on BBC!

Well, we were talking about Davis' clearance issues on Monday and the Büttner issue yesterday morning. Obviously that situation has moved on but since all the papers have printed it today it comes up on there as a new story. It isn't.

What makes you think it wasn't? Rangers don't have a legal leg to stand on.

I agree with you, and I have worked in employment law for many years, its just that it was being reported today that it was all off. Don't worry Pass the football is saying that its just old news and lazy journalism.
