Nope, I just figured that he meant a Cortese's PA would have easy access to such information, rather than the old "she's a woman so she must be a secretary" Al Murray bit.

Don't know why everyone is excited about him. He is the third choice left back for the Netherlands and they had the worst left back in the tournament (The Euros)

Because Nigel Adkins and his team of scouts have decided that he's a player who can make our squad stronger for the Premier League?

No point in us buying Rodriguez, he wasn't even picked and Rooney was **** in the Euros.

Some fans do apply some weird logic when it comes to assessing the suitability (mentioning no names Adam B, <whistle>) of potential transfer targets. I'm sure that he has been selected for his versatility as much as his quality, lets face it, we are short of a left sided player since Lee Holmes left, it's all about building a strong squad with multiple cover in all positions for different formations.

"Vitesse trying to push up price from Saints for Buttner because their bosses prefer deal with their QPR buddies #saintsfc"

In the end it comes down to the player. They can refuse Saints offer, but he won't necessarily sign for QPR. Depends how much he fancied us...maybe he thinks QPR will be ok as well. I would say to Cortese, how much do you want this player..if you want him, pay up and let's go. If someone else will do, then move on. If rumours are correct, part of the problem with Butland was that we wanted to pay in instalments.

That's football these days for you - It's all about who you know.

But still, Buttner himself sounds very set on a move here, he can reject approaches from QPR if he wishes - that's his prerogative. The facts are that he has 1 year left on his current deal and has made it clear he doesn't see his future with Vitesse, if anything I reckon we'll end up forcing the price down over them forcing the price up. It just may take a little longer than we had hoped.

Yeah that's not true
