According to the Sun:

Reading to table a £1M offer for Blackpool winger Matt Phillips, while Saints will offer Blackburn defender Scott Dann a Premier League lifeline should they go up - and Blackburn go down. (again £1M).

Very odd given that Holloway was only willing to sell to a 'top 6 club' at a high price...

I don't think they will be selling Phillips for £1m to be honest.
 
Also very odd considering they've got Kebe and McAnuff. I'd suggest a winger is the last thing they need!

I'd be shocked if they let him go for that; I'd be shocked if they let him go for four times that, for that matter. He's a serious talent, and I'd be delighted if we could get him at any reasonable price.
 
I think we are weakest on the right hand side of the midfield.., With the players we have.. But never actually got a out n out player there.. for me, I'd like us to sign Matt jarvis if we make the step up or Junior hoillet!
 
Is Jarvis really all that good? I haven't seen much of him admittedly, but what I have seen has been average?
 
He's bit tubby, So he'd have to lose abit of weight so I imagine we could get more pace frm him.. and he is quite good at dribbling and a AMAZING cross on him!..

I would rather have Phillips from Blackpool to be honest want young hungry players wanting to impose themselves and make a name rather than players with a losing mentality from a relegated team they get relegated for a reason.

True.. In honesty i don't think he is that amazing.. nothing more special than what we already have.. except for supersonic pace.
 
If we go up I'd happily see us go for a loan of Thibaut Courtois... I'm normally against loans but the lad is quality and has said he'll probably spend next season on loan at an English side.

Spot on with your idea Alex! If Lawrie was around he would search the planet for an Alan Ball type character to pull all the strings from the middle of the park. Apart from a plethora of that type in La Liga and Paul Scholes, I can't think of anyone else in that calibre!
