I don't particularly understand what you mean by a "tit for tat" especially considering I thought my description of this thread's creation certainly had merit, but fair enough.

Anyway mods, can we please get rid of this pathetic excuse for a thread now? As has already been shown this morning (shock horror) the actual rumour thread is already getting back on topic (as always happens).

Beddy, can I propose that we sticky a social thread on the saints page. It can be fun having some off topic banter and then anyone wanting to drift in there can. I would myself from time to time and it would keep other stuff at out of other topics: if people wanted to.

This is what several people have been asking for for a while now... It's only one thread, it wouldn't hurt anybody. If people don't want to read off topic stuff, fine, don't go into it, nobody gets hurt. I don't see why it'd be a bad idea on any level.

Tbh I could only see him being brought in as a #3 anyway. With some of the other names we've heard he doesn't seem like the kind of high profile Premier League standard keeper Adkins has been chasing (eg Butland, Schmeichel)

 

Thats what we need though Dan IMO. A good experienced back-up and a youngster with lots of potentail. Perhaps Gillingham could take Forecast. Mad dog could kick him into shape!

Would love Butland and I see Brum have already brought in a new keeper. Let's hope it happens. Still need a third though. An injury and a suspension and you''re looking at Tommy v Rooney etc. Doesn't bear thinking about!

 

Dan I'm not going to get involved in a slanging match but I can assure you than I have no need to cry for attention, neither am I arrogant or desperate to prove anything to anyone, particularly my maturity. I started a new thread to draw attention to the pages devoted to the baiting of a poster last night. If I was some kind of coward, I would have just moaned to the mods but frankly, when things are taken too far, I'm not the kind who'll shy away from saying something myself. Last night, several posters were out of order. This is different to having several pages off topic when nothing is happening. Out of order is out of order and I will say it as I have done previously when someone was ridiculously accused of racism on here.

I feel by not actually being involved you missed out on the feeling of the night. It wasn't a mob attack, he was taking it well and having fun with it. Nobody was getting wound up or aggressive, nobody was acting violent or malicious, it was just (probably quite extreme) pisstaking, which nobody involved really seemed to mind. The "victim" AdamBanana said himself he'd be fine with even a thread created for him because "he's a man" (or something along those lines). However if he was clearly distressed by it then it'd be an issue. I can see how, from an outside perspective, it'd look like it, but there's a reason he's now banned and nobody else is.

 

I'm just hoping we don't get many more transfers that **** about like the Buttner one, what a waste of everybody's time that is. Thankfully this seems more straightforward.
