So here we are, all the top clubs are looking to buy new players to enhance their chances for next season. Of course there will be plenty of will they/ won't they which no doubt will unfold in the fullness of time.

But first up is the sale of Real's Gareth Bale. The Welshman has failed to shine since his move in September 2013. Although he’s sparked in phases, every time it looks like he’s going to come into his own, injury strikes. He’s suffered more than 10 iterations of muscular problems and other assorted ailments and that has done nothing to endear him to the Madrid hierarchy. This is the main factor that may accelerate the Welshman's sale which would partly fund a world record bid for Kylian Mbappe who have been quoted £114m.

United?

All rumours and facts welcome

No Wumming please

I'm hoping we're after at least two of the three young English centre halves that have done well this season (Keane, Gibson and Maguire).

Were also after Ozyakup of Beskitas who would be a great addition.

I'd like to see us test Sporting for Adrien Silva again. We had a 30+m bid rejected last summer.

I've accepted that we're not going to be able to keep hold of Mahrez but I hope to God we keep Kasper, Vardy and Ndidi.

We'll need to get a Mahrez replacement in for sure. Someone who can conjure up something out of nothing. Trouble is they don't grow on trees and we don't have the lure of European football any more.

Kasper
Maguire Morgan/Huth Gibson
Albrighton Ndidi Silva Chilwell/Fuchs
Boudebouz ----- Gray/New addition
Vardy
I'd be very happy with that.

This will probably be the season Derek Asamoah goes to Real Madrid or Barcelona. He has resisted playing for big clubs so far, but he might finally yield to temptation.

Manchester United are about to close their first big deal in this transfer window.

According to the Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, the Red Devils reached an agreement with Interto sign Croatian international Ivan Perisic for £ 45m ( € 52m).

The Nerazzurri winger has been on Chelsea targets’ list for months but, apparently, ex Blues boss José Mourinho convinced him during a trip to Croatia a couple of months ago, while Perisic was away with his national team.

The 28-year-old impressed in his two-year-spell at Inter: in the last season he scored 11 goals and gave 11 assists.

Liverpool are holding talks with Roma in an attempt to sign Egypt forward Mohamed Salah after having a £28m bid turned down.

Roma have rejected Liverpool's initial offer for the 24-year-old - but talks are ongoing and Salah remains a prime target for manager Jurgen Klopp.

The Italian club is understood to want between £35m and £40m for Salah.

The player almost joined Liverpool before moving to Chelsea from FC Basel for £11m in January 2014.

The last team on Earth that a 27 year old Bale would now go and play for is Mourhino's United.

United also want £66m from Real Madrid for their 26-year-old goalkeeper David de Gea. (Sunday Times - subscription required)

They'll need that money to put towards the Galacticos that won't come and player for them!

Mourhino is the biggest whore in World footy.

Wenger apparently has a £150m "war chest" to buy players that won't come and play for them!
