It's not seedy, it's utterly corrupt and evil. He was involved with putting it all together in the first place and having Putin's reign extended when he hit term limits. Levy doesn't have the money or power to go anywhere near something like this. I'm not saying that he's clean, as I've not seen evidence for or against it, but he's not on the same level.
