Not knocking Farke, as he's only been here 5 minutes but a free, out of contract ostensibly wide / front / in the 'hole' man and a 'keeper on loan for the season are not really priorities as I see it.
Wouldn't it be good if there was some action - or at least credible press talk about left backs, central defenders and a prolific(ish) striker. Just for a change for NCFC <ok>

I think Marley and Angus were just there for the taking. No doubt were our priorities lie in defence!! Not so bothered about the "prolific striker" you mention. I'm excited to see what Oliveira will bring next season and in Jerome plus a number of secondary role strikers / juniors, i'm happy enough with cover. It's defenders for me all day long!

I have to agree HQMC and with Basil getting a more consistent run as our striker and Hoolahan playing less frequently, then the service to our striker will improve along with better tactics and ball retention and I'd far rather any cash is invested in our porous defence.

All that wasteful spending and now we are selling our assets to buy in the bargain basement. Seems like we have been here before? I suspect that the club are looking for 'potential gems' so let's hope it works out. Are we looking at the Huddersfield model?

Howson and Dorrans are almost certainly leaving, so at least one experienced replacement will be needed. Apparently he is a dead ball specialist. He has, apparently, signed a three year deal.

I think Superman answers your point to great effect here DD <ok>

The only one of his points I disagree with (yes, you've guessed it), is Delia not selling because of no offers.

'Read Norwich' reporting Vrancic has signed 3 year deal with official announcement soon

Sounds like selling your roof to pay for a new coat of paint on the exterior walls to me.

Mario Vrancic, Bosnian international midfielder, set to join for Euro750k. We have apparently triggered a buyout clause. At a guess, Jonnys replacement.

I would suggest (from what I have seen on newsnow) that it could very well be Dorrans' replacement. The Howson thing has gone quiet whilst there are a fair few teams after Dorrans already.

I am happy with Midfielders coming in. I know our priorities should be with Defenders (CB's and LB's) and a prolific striker, but Midfield caused us a lot of problems last season with injuries and suspensions. Tettey struggles to play lots of games, Dorrans could be off, Howson could be off and the other two we have are young and untested.

Experienced CMs are a must if we lose players there.

Reactions: DHCanary
At 28, Vrancic is older than I expected. But cheap, and apparently able to operate in both attacking and defensive midfield roles, he sounds like a good replacement for Dorrans, if he is sold as expected.

Naturally there's a risk in replacing a solid performer with someone new, but the wages will be less and he is a bit younger than Dorrans at least. Seems like a reasonable deal on paper.

Still not officially announced but 'Read Norwich' have this with the help of 'Google Translate' by the look of it too :emoticon-0105-wink:

“I ended up in the club (Norwich), of which, up to twenty days ago I did not even think. We’ve had two offers from the Bundesliga and defined the details of the new Premier League club Huddersfield Town there was a sudden turn. Norwich has taken a new manager Daniel Farka, who insisted I arrive at the club. All we quickly finished and since yesterday resting peacefully in Spain.

“German club and Premier League Huddersfield had terms, but Norwich offered me the best conditions. Daniel Farke insisted on my arrival. A long contracs and game system that wants to play with force, the ambition of the club leaders to return to the Premiership. The challenge was too big and I could not resist.”
