While I would hate to lose Howson because as I have previously stated he is our best player IMO, everyone has a price. However should he leave for a penny less than £10M Webber would have a serious question to answer regardless of whoever came in as a replacement.
This is my fear. All the good work of getting rid of the deadwood would be undone if we sold Howson and had another crap season! Not saying that losing Howson would make us have one but if we did, Webber would have made a right cock up! Fans would be in a worse mood than they were at the end of this year!!Worrying that £4m is being bounded about! As you say... £10m minimum! We can't be in that bad a position... can we???
Webber may pull a rabbit out of the hat by selling Howson and getting someone as good or better and cheaper... but you would have to go a long, loooong way to find a player like that for under £4m!!!!!!!! BIG GAMBLE if it happens!
