Can't we sign Ragget and loan Martin back Makes much sense.
Waste of space. Was signed ostensibly as a left winger - and has "excelled" in the right wing-back role in pre-season.

£250k fee, and will only be loaned back to Lincoln til January, then a decision will be made on whether he stays or comes to us.
I'm all for the loaning back thing when we're at full strength and all set for a good campaign, but when the rewards of the PL are so great, wouldn't that £250k be better spent going towards a player that can help us get to the PL right away?
Can't blame the club for thinking long term as well as the here-and-now. That's another small fee in the whole scheme of things. I wonder if perhaps the loan back option may have been what swung the deal in our favour instead of another club too.
