All the league teams near us are league 2 except Bristol City. None of the prem boys play in this country anymore. Not enough money in it.

Do you mean that nice Mr Andy McRacket? I really don't care. I know I should but I don't. It's bleddy tennis and I can't stand watching it. Even the women just grunt and stuff balls up their knicker legs.

Lloyd Jones who Argyle sold to Liverpool in 2011 for £20,000 has gone to Div 1 team Blackpool on a youth loan......Lloyd who got some Div2 loan time last season will now try his luck at Div1 level.....he is Liverpool's youth captain.

A snippet that has nothing to do with Argyle but I want to comment about......Raheem Sterling going to Man City for £49 million......will he just disappear into the City cesspit and get a game now and again....and not live up to expectations....so they just spend another £50 million on someone else and Sterling just plays for the stiffs and England until he has no self confidence left at all.....or will he be the next George Best and rise above all the Man City bank rolling and do well.

I don't even rate him that highly let alone at a snip of £49m plus squillions per week wages. To be earning what he will be at the age he is will ruin what's left soon enough and he will disappear into the normal oblivion. It has nothing to do with the team he is signing for it would be the same wherever. I have seen all this hype so many times before.

He is finished.. he should have stayed at Liverpool and played regular first team football.. He has not set the rem alight this year .. or has he?
He has a long way to go and he has had a few run ins with the public ect.. so another promising young English player going to waste.. he will probably move on in a couple years to a smaller club.. look at Rodwell, sinclair and many others they have signed..

Not worth much plym apart from a run out and some match fitness. I never put much store into these matches whoever the opposition is. At least they won which is more than Newport did against Bath.

I see that we have managed to arrange a home friendly for Saturday 25th July.....against a Reading X1.

No mention of a kick-off time....so I have just checked the official web-site and low and behold....there is no mention of a match at all as yet for that date.......why doesn't that surprise me ?

BUT there is mention of tickets on sale for AFC Wimbledon now......Wowee.

Bookmakers Sky Bet have announced their odds for winning Div 2.......they are.....

    1.....Portsmouth..........4/1..........over rated before...maybe again
2.....Oxford...................8/1..........will they be that good ?
    3.....Luton.....................9/1..........play-offs
4.....Leyton O.............11/1..........really poor last season...lower than this possibly
    5.....Notts C................14/1..........play-offs
    6.....Cambridge..........16/1..........could be the surprise team
    .......Northampton.....16/1..........might do better
    .......Stevenage...........16/1..........never this high
    9.....Bristol R..............20/1..........High expectations
    .......ARGYLE...............20.1..........this would be a disaster....play-offs at least
    11...Wycombe W......22/1..........higher than this surely
    .......Yeovil..................22/1..........would expect higher
    13...Barnet................25/1..........about right
    .......Carlisle...............25/1..........lower
    .......Crawley..............25/1..........maybe worse than this
    16...Wimbledon.......33/1..........higher
.......Exeter................33/1..........they will be disappointed at this
    .......Hartlepool.........33/1..........about right
    .......Newport............33/1..........ditto
    20...Mansfield..........40/1..........ditto
    .......York...................40/1..........ditto
    22...Morecambe......50/1..........surely higher ?
    23...Dag & Red.........66/1...........better than this
    .......Accrington.........66/1...........could well be relegated

I can only assume they used the blindfold/pin sticking method.....how they have come to some of these decisions I'll never know

Anthony O'Connor has not signed a contract as yet....it was thought he would be a Burton player by now.....I'll have him back still.

I'll bet now that the bookies list comes out completely different to the odds being quoted. They got last season completely wrong. The only reason Portsmouth are at the top is their previous pedigree. It certainly isn't their current.

A bit surprised at the O'Connor situation. I would have him back but suspect it isn't going to happen.

I might just give Reading's youth side a miss. If the club can't be bothered to organise something proper then I can't be bothered to go.
