Cannot see any player of that calibre wanting to come to Ashton Gate especially after the Tomlin effect.

Tomlin is a loose cannon with a big mouth.

It would be better for supporters of all the clubs he's represented if he could divert his opinions into better performances on the pitch instead of the ****e he seems to like spouting on social media.

 

A good player who has proven he can scores goals from midfield at this level - £8.5m just shows what it costs to compete at this level, something many on here still fail to grasp.

 

In today's climate of ludicrously high transfer fees I think £8.5m is a knock down price for someone who still has 12 or more years career ahead of him.
The irony was that anyone inside Ashton Gate would ever think we'd be in with a shout of tempting such a player away from a bigger/better club.
