I like Ki very much and dont wish to lose him but Joe has blossomed at Liverpool. he may not have had many first team games but that is the managers choice and when he has started or come on as sub he has done very well and always in the thick of things. Was he worth £15m when we sold him well in my own opinion not a chance but it was a great deal for us....What is he worth now ....Well again my personal opinion but i would be happy to pay £10m to £12m for him as he has bulked up a bit and is a better player.... Ki and joe are different players and dont forget Corky also and with all three it gives us variations and that's what the team needs......I also hope Leon will play a part also and i hope he becomes our midfield coach if he is not doing that already..... I am more concerned with the strikers roll really, I dont want us hanging around too long waiting to see if we have him (Bony) and anyway we should recruit another striker anyway so we can have options up front, We have polochi and i think he can make an impact.......If we play one up front then if we get Bony then that's sorted and if we play two strikers then we have polochi and A N Other and we rest bony.....Ayew if he is still with us i would have him as center half with a sweepers role keeping the defenders busy.......Im excited at the possibilities we have for the new season.....I only hope things go to plan with recruitment's......
Yes that is why we need another striker valley. we will still be strong and other teams will be in the same boat....i think we will be OK...
Standing still again roof, we cant do that, they on a lot of times struggled against average sides. We need to sign players to improve the squad as everyone else in the league will. If we don't IMPROVE the squad we will be in a relegation battle again.

Right back and midfield general No 1 priorities for me, providing Franco can sort out our central defence with what weve got. .
middle wasn't our problem , wing play was our problem IMO . Monk first full season had Dyer and Routledge starting 23 and 27 games respectively when things went great with width . The next season Dyer was sent out on loan and Routledge was sent to the bench .Replaced by Montero , with limited starts and not ready for starts IMO and Ayew who didn't play our normal wing formation . Britton and Fer also played a major part of our revival also once Monk was cut loose . We got a ton of points after Monk left with these players with a manager who was feeling the team out . After a summer under his belt , I expect to see better formational play . Defensive structure is where I think we need a boost .
You have a point. Ayew isn't a winger and defensively we've looked very suspect again this past season. However, it's inescapable that we haven't scored enough goals and our record in that department was very poor. It has to be said there is room for improvement all over the pitch.
I'm a stickler for what causes facts more than the facts themselves . We never had the greatest players in the League since we've been up , but we always had reasonable results when our expierenced wingers were let loose on the wings in free flow . That stopped last season .
I agree with above but defensive structure doesn't just start with the back 4, a sloppy midfield also are a cause for bad defending. We cant just blame the back 4 for goals conceded. That's why we need to strengthen down the middle as well as out wide.
Its a case of priorities and first and foremost we need to fix our goal drought because there were so many games last season where we should have won but didn't because we struggled up front. My second fix would be defence as ash was making too many uncharacteristic mistakes and imo that is due to him playing every game without any rest period and we saw at the end when after we were confirmed safe we rested him for the Euros and we was more organized than previous games,......The squad in essence is about 4 players short and some players could not be rested when they needed needed it and it resulted in mistakes being made.
If everyone stays( including Fer ) I'll be good with RB, LB, DM . If we can grab Bony ...fine , if not I'm good as is .

HJ listen we need to improve the ****ing squad not weaken it. Please actually look to sign players who are not cast offs from clubs worse than us or in the Championship. Lets see if we can actually bring a bit of quality in.
Not as good as Amat and although I think we need another centre back he is not the big physical type we need.
