Er... OK. I think. Major faux pas for the Club if we let Ayew go without nailing down a replacement. We can't be that daft can we?
Oh yes we could, But, I am hoping that we will seal the move of Borja before we let Ayew anywhere near West Ham. But how long did it take us to sign our first striker.
You must be gutted to lose Ayew, according to wiki he's scored over 1,200 including 354 for the swans in 34 matches.
So we lose Ayew, we sign Llorente and if we sign Borja, are we looking stronger this season than last. I like the idea of the 2 new strikers, but we don't know if they will score goals, I hope so, yet in Ayew we will be losing 10 plus. I just don't know what I think, the one thing that will be stronger is the bank balance.
Sky reporting that Ayew will be having a medical either today or tomorrow, but they understand that we will only sell if we sign another striker.... Deal for Ayew said to be £20m
Will we pay though Kiff that is my worry. If we sell Ayew, we would still be in credit with all the new faces.
So we sign this guy and let Ayew go for £20m, plus circa £12m for Ash if he goes, meaning we make a profit in this window, get rid of players we don't want, and bring in players we do want. Think with the criticism Huw has got over the past month or so, clearly this why he is good for our club. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36985781
Personally, I think we need a second striker even if Ayew stays. If Ash goes, we will need to replace him - having just 3 centre backs is too risky in my opinion
Yes huw will have done very well if the new signings work. I agree with Taff we have to sign another centre half if Ash leaves. So I will reserve judgement and see how it goes, He may have pulled off a blinder, lets wait and see.
Always believed in our chairman, I think he got stung last season but to be honest I don't think he did that bad as getting ayew was a major coup in itself. This transfer window, I believe has already been a slight success as he's got siggy to sign a new deal, got rid of the dead weight and got some lanky players in to address our abysmal record of defending set pieces.. I belive he's listened to our manager and done his best while juggling a take over. Get baston and another CB if ash goes then I reckon he's done his job perfectly.
Thanks for that, Valley. Not sure I'm "back" as such. I occasionally pop in to see what is what, and simply couldn't resist posting re Stella. Jealousy got the better of me, if truth were known.
Duw, I've never been so popular. You won't need my input, I see that you have your own personal behavioural psychologist at your disposal. Who's picking up the tab ?
I wouldn't want chico back either even though he is exciting to watch, He will push our chances of red cards up and penalties against over night....
