You want Huw replaced, and you are saying Curt should be doing what his job is. The fact is Curt is not qualified to do that, he has his say on football matters at the club, but financial matters are not his forte, he's good at what he currently does and that's the end of it. Huw has a direct stake on the club being successful as a shareholder, so it's in his interests see us being successful.

I was with Jager up to a point where Ash rumours in the media of him going were just that, rumours, but it's clear now he is going, and that is one hell of a loss, how do you sell a player of his stature and influence in games for a poultry £10 Million?

Ash has another two seasons at least left in him, with all that is going on regarding our front line, WHY DO WE WANT TO SERIOUSLY WEAKEN OUR BACK LINE? it is nothing short of complete madness........<ok>

No if he wants to go and if he goes are two different things that have different meanings

If he goes- you're talking about him being gone already hypothetically

If he wants to go- If ash wants to go (again hypothetically) but not gone as of yet. its just his wishes to go. (you don't know this)

Now accusing posters of being delusional. This article doesn't fill us fans with much confidence.

Phil, less of the poultry mate ;) , Ash leaving will be a blow for us yes, but he's replaceable despite the sentiment above by swan, him leaving will be good for us ultimately as we will have to face that reality in the next couple of seasons in any case. And this is about him mate and not us, he is the one who has the say not the Swans, if he goes it's entirely of his own making. So stop blaming Huw or the club as they I'm sure would love to keep him. If he goes life continues as it did when Bony and Allen left.

Jager long term he's replaceable but thing is with football its a sort term results business and Its massive boots to fill. Lets hope Fernandez and Amat are up to the job.

Also its not the player who has the final say. Just look at Saido Berahino at WBA. Now I did say if he wants to go then its the right thing to do because we don't want a mess like his situation. (although I don't think ash will act like him)

I'm sure they will step up. And I would say that Ash is replaceable in this window or the next one if they don't step up.

As for the WBA player, I just googled it, he has a year left on his contract and wants away, he will force the issue and will get what he wants, the fact is once he is in his last 6 months of his contract he can talk to anyone without permission from his parent club. If they don't accept offers now he will be worth less than half on what is on offer, come this time next year he'll walk on a Bosnan and they will get nothing for him

How can you say that, there is no way you can now that, at best it's a guess by you due to his age, but we have been here before with Ash, and we have always improved his contract, so it's not all about Ash as you put it, he still has 2 years on his contract, if the club wish they could easily up his value to £20 Million, which would represent a more accurate value of him to us, and that would test Everton's resolve, and show that we are not mugs in the transfer market.

I have to say that at the minute, you can shove your Huw Jenkins where the sun don't shine, he's making us look complete fools..........<ok>

£10 million is not bad for a player who will be 32 next month and whose best days are behind him and who will need replacing anyway within the next 18 months. Sounds harsh but we have to be realistic.

I hope they do step up.

The Saido Berahino fiasco started last year and has been going on all season. Their best player being on the bench most of the season as a consequence.

If we were asking 15 to 20 Million, I'd have no issue, but £10 Million is not good, it's a steel, and those are the words of the Toffee supporters, Ash could go on for another 3 seasons easily, he's a CB not a winger or striker, running his arse off...............<ok>

Think about it, we are giving away the Captain of Swansea and Wales for a mere £10 Million? A player who took Wales to the Semi finals, when England were long gone!!!..........<ok>

Quite easily Phil, if the player wants to go then he can as holding him back when he wants to go is not what we do. As for the valuation of him, well we can hold for his release clause whatever that is, but being realistic we won't get that for him. And we risk him not being worth anything come the end of this season where he turns 33.

And you say shove Huw, tell me who do you want in his place ?

Of course you'd have an issue as you are a moaning ole git ;) , seriously people wouldn't be even happy with that! Ash is 32 and has two seasons at most in him, this is a damned good offer for him imo

Sky reporting Ash reps are looking at properties in the NW ahead of an 11mill move to Everton. Would've thought we would have held out for 15 but that said its his last chance to bank a bigger salary and the club maybe didnt want to stand in his way. Who knows been a great servant to the club so good luck to him. He will be missed by fans and certainly in the dressing room but is not irreplaceable.

Judging by the last few seasons of transfers, I would say Huw is well past his sell by date, he just like your players, is easily replaced, and I can think of a number of individuals who would do a far better job than Huw Jenkins, many names spring to mind, but I'm sure the Yanks already have this base covered.....<ok>
