Sorry to see this happening guys - for what it's worth, you could barely hear yourself think around our club after Pochettino left for all the screams of "asset stripping" and "fire sale", but we bought cleverly and improved. I hope the same happens with your lot - at worst then you'll have some pantomime villain ex players to dislike for the coming season. Either way, it can be done. Good luck - I hate seeing captains leave (particularly to that fat lying Dutchman's team).
If if if if, come on for gawds sake, being linked with other clubs mean we are doing something right here! The fact is we are in the big boys league and our players are going to be attractive to many teams! The same as other teams players are going to be attractive to us, that's the way it goes. And Ash is just another player who can be replaced, so what he's our captain, other players can step up and take that armband, I suggest Siggy would be a good one, and he will make a great captain. And if Ash does go, try not to cry over spilt milk to much, it's not as if you cried when Bony left or any other player from what I can recall. Just be man enough to accept that Ash would be the one moving and not Huw, he (Ash) will be the one who at the end of the day decides what happens, because if he doubles his wages who can blame him for moving?
But we had £28 million for him and I fully expected half of that to go towards his replacement that summer. That's when the club showed its lack of ambition in this league. I have no issue with Ash leaving, good luck to him. It's the timing Jäger. Every player that's gone so far hasn't been replaced and doesn't look like being replaced. We need 3 strikers, a new CB, a captain and the season starts in 13 days. We need all of these and hope to Christ that Ayew, Gylfi and Fed don't go.
The timing? He can only go in transfer windows, so that is just the way it goes, if you compare this to the Bony transfer, that happened during the season in a January, did we replace him when he left? We continued on with Gomis when he went, if Ash went we have time to bring in another player, though we have people can play in that position now.
Jager you dont get it....We are 13 days away from the start and all we are hearing is players that could possibly leave and no replacements......If this week we do lose some or all of the mentioned players then we are in dire straights up the creak without a paddle.....all the players that have been mentioned that we want have either turned us down or been nicked under our noses because Jenkins is far to slow off the mark and still in lower league mode......If The manager and Curtis are concerned then i think the fans have the right to be concerned.......It's not the case any more of buying some quality it's more the case of attracting quality to come here....We could well be Raped next week and Jenkins is acting like a pimp...
THe Sun on Sunday says that Gylfi is to reject a move to Everton and sign a new contract with the Swans As yet I have not seen any news about Ash, Andre or Frederico having actually moved just journalistic rumours and we are still in the market for attacking players so chill out guys.
Stop being melodramatic ! It makes me want to hire a violinist to read your posts. To get it right every player could potentially leave given the right price, nobody can be forced to stay here if they truly wanted to leave. And for all those players you say don't want to come, basically it's crap as that is just the press saying that. Show me a single interview by a player saying that! We will attract the players here because of the wages, and as long as it suits the club's needs, we do not spend tens of millions on players despite you wanting us to do so, I thought you'd get it into your head by now. Curt has opinion and has said it's frustrating getting the right players in, well guess what? There is a lot of other teams going through the same thing right now, it's the same every transfer window.
I'm having a rethink on Ash! Now that the press are also saying that Fernandez on his way out, then I know that we would not ditch our two best CB's, something is wrong here, the London media seem to be hitting us with too many stories now, nearly all our players are targets? Can that be really true? I don't think so. With regard to Ash he's been very loyal to us over many seasons when being linked to Arsenal? I know twitter went mad last night up in Everton, but I am going to ignore it all, it certainly is the silly season, and it caught me out last night, I think Jager is right, most of this is garbage....
That's it exactly Phil, it's silly season and these newspapers are printing crap for the most part, they are throwing darts at a board and linking players to teams even though probably that player and that team are not interested in each other. The best thing to do is stop reading these reports and just go in the garden and enjoy the weather or watch a film, the rumour mill is just doing what it's doing, that being fans getting hysterical on forums and social media crying their eyes out because damn a reporter has linked a player with a team. I'm here laughing at it all tbh
Swansea City star Gylfi Sigurdsson to reject £25m Everton FC move and sign new Liberty deal - reports Bit of good news!! I agree Phil! Hopefully it's all media driven bullshit. Its understandable that fans are getting concerned about transfers as we seem to be doing nothing. Although I know this is probably not the case. Upon reflection we're only about 2 good signings away from having a good transfer window as it stands. I don't think the guidolin's broken english is helping either because we know how the media like to play with words to get a headline out of nothing. refusing a sizable offer for Siggy will be a big statement from the club and will show the fans that they do have the clubs best interest at heart.
Agree, though I was out last night down one of my Gower watering holes, and was told that Ash was definitely on his way out, in fairness to the lad he gets most things right, but I think he may well be wrong on this, at least I hope he is, going into the garden now !!!......
Swansea City insist there have been no bids for Ashley Williams despite reports of £10m Everton move http://www.southwales-eveningpost.c...ley-williams/story-29569647-detail/story.html
The papers dont always print crap. plenty have been spot on before so you have to take notice whatever they print....so nobody on here is being over dramatic at all...We are concerned that's all and we have a right to be concerned because we dont have a good enough chairman who should never negotiate players in a million years and should we lose just half of the players wanted by Bigger clubs then i have no confidence on jinx paying enough for replacements...That is not being over dramatic so you stop being over dramatic and put your violin away.....you will be the first one to moan if we do lose players....
We have heard all that before from the club with Brendan and Bony leaving....they were gone within 24 hours......i dont trust anything Jenkins says...
So you are believing the rumour mill instead of the club, really ironic for the man who deals in facts and reality.
The papers don't print crap? Now I'm just laughing my head off, don't you realise that's what most of them do every single day. How do you think brexit happened?
