I think it's the second option notdistant. Makes sense to have some spare capacity. More revenue spread over and keeps others in with an interest.

Just watched the brief highlights of the Blackpool game on ArgyleTV. What a goal from Miller…. Bent in from the RH corner of the box, around the diving keeper into the LH side netting.

We knew that Mickel Miller had quality....let us hope that his time out injured last season was just a one off season hiccup.

11,000 season tickets sold... highest ever within a capacity of 16,338. The away ticket allocation is up to a maximum 2,000, depending on the demand from the visiting club.

The club seem to have given the 'Erald rather more information on what they've done with tickets than appeared in the official statement.

    https://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/sport/football/plymouth-argyle-cap-season-ticket-8626728

They've deliberately capped season tickets at 11,000 to leave some tickets, presumably somewhere around the 2,500 mark if you exclude 2,000 for away fans and 500 for a separation zone, less any that are deemed unsellable.

I'm glad they've done that, given the long distances some are willing to travel from mid Cornwall to north Devon. Having said that, there are about 0.25m people living in those areas, the same as in Plymouth itself. From personal experience of living 40 miles away from Home Park, I'd say the proportion of people you speak to there on a random basis who have an interest in Argyle is not lower there than it is in the city itself.

Interesting piece in the Times today by Rod Liddle, once a member of the Socialist Workers Party and an editor in BBC current affairs programmes. He writes about the prospects for the Championship from his perspective as a Millwall fan.

He runs through various clubs and predicts one of the toughest years on record I haven’t checked if he in fact he mentions all the teams but we don’t get a single word. As some consolation, he tips Rotherham and Birmingham City to go down…..

I’ve watched about 30 minutes of Leicester v Coventry from a recording and am now watching Leeds v Cardiff live. Cardiff have just taken the lead after Leeds had bossed it.

This is a tough old league isn’t it?

However, the relegated EPL teams have problems we don’t. The commentator has just said that Leeds’ star striker Gnonto has been told by the Italy manager that he won’t be selected if he plays outside the top tier. He wants to leave.

Leeds dominated play and have good players but Cardiff were resolute and compact, taking two of the few chances they had to go 0-2 up early on.

Leeds by comparison were wasteful with the many chances they had but managed to scrape 2-2 draw bey late on. They seem to have a collective problem with balance which causes the slightest touch to bring them crashing down. The referee was sympathetic but uncompromising. By the end, I think if Cardiff had installed an anti-tank gun in the penalty box, Leeds wouldn’t have got a spot-kick from him and rightly so.

ArgyleTV is showing the full press conference after the Orient match, featuring Ben Waine and Stephen Schmacher.

Kaine Hesler-Hayden did get a kick on his foot just before half-time and was taken off early as a precaution but the injury is not expected to keep him out of the squad.

Neither Fredde Issaka nor Caleb Roberts will be going out on loan. They will train with the first team but are able to take part at Under-18 level if they need game time. Stephen Schumacher does not believe they would benefit from going on loan: training with the first team will prepare them for next year when only mens' football will be available to them. He agrees Freddie Issaka is an exciting prospect but points out he would need to displace Bali Mumba to be first pick!

He was asked if there would be more signings. He says he hopes so. Asked when, he replied soon he hopes! Thanks for the information Stephen!

    England...0-1 Spain,.....F/T.

    Best team won.

England couldn't retain the ball...giving it away too often.

Poor passing in the final third.

Lucy Bronze rampaging aimlessly up field losing the ball and the goal came from her being 50 yards out of position.

She has done that too often over the games....no discipline when needed.

The Spanish women's side have obviously taken their cue from the men's side when it comes to "game management". Nevertheless, they were the better side.

You are spot on about the goal. There were 3 Spanish defenders standing around a huge sign saying "TROUBLE" and she ran right into it.
