Good old Neil... he'll give us three points. He's painted on one of the walls and is in the Evergreen video that runs on the Big Screen at every match. If he says he's Evergreen.........

I was really hoping for a boxing day home game just for once in a lifetime but not to be. The rest seem reasonable though so can't really complain. I looked at the fixtures this morning and have to say forgot about Neil Warnock being their Manager. One thing that stands out after last season. When we looked at that fixture list there were a bunch a teams we were playing that looked a bit big in terms of football history. This time they all look bleddy big.

More Championship financial capers: the owners of WBA, whose Premiership parachute payments are coming to an end, have put the club up for sale at £60m. They paid £200m for it but have eased the pain somewhat by borrowing money from the club which they haven’t repaid.

Sales of season tickets to last season’s Flexi ticket holders started at 9am today, after season ticket holders and Evergreen members had had their respective slots.

I was on the phone at 9 am and completed the transaction at 1:15 pm!

Given we need a block of 4 seats, there wasn’t much to pick from and we may get a soaking or two and not be able to see the final minutes of any game as those part time fans who leave their seats 5 minutes early and then cluster around the exits block the view of 90-minute fans. I thought the stewards were supposed to move them on but it’s a damn nuisance.

There’s clearly a lot of demand and non-season ticket holders are going to struggle to get a look in.

I see that Exeter have got rid of Jovani Brown to Bristol Rovers.
Joey Barton and Brown that could be a pairing made in hell.

I still have no idea when I'm likely to be able to pick up the tickets I've already paid for. I'm guessing it will be after July 2nd.

And don't forget Jack Endacott who has also signed his first professional contract, At last a local I know. His dad and Aunt Catherine the sprinter went to same school as two of mine at same time and I used to take his dad to football training when he was a kid. I also know what he's being paid which I won't divulge publicly. It aint bad for a 17 year old. Not because I know the family but always thought he had a future with Argyle. Quite impressed with him when he came on in a game last season and liked his pace and delivery. Could go far.

Leicester have signed Harry Winks from Tottenham. For £10m.

    Aren’t parachute payments wonderful?

I see that Rangers have got Abdallah Sima a striker on a years loan from Brighton....I wonder where that leaves them regarding Whittaker ?

Whitaker isn't a striker. So, I guess in exactly the same place they were before signing this one.

Sima plays in similar positions.....some call one a striker and the other an attacking mid-fielder....Whittaker scored more goals....swings and roundabouts.
