I can't see any good in speculating what he can or can't do until he actually does something. I have always maintained that for most clubs it isn't a case of how much money you necessarily spend it's how you recruit and who you recruit. Once done then it's how well they gel as a unit. You can buy success it's true but there are few who fit that category in leagues one or two.

They're probably not all out of contract....so some will be non-starters....remember we're supposed to have paid already compensation to Bury of £150,000 for Lowe...or so it is said.

Remember we have about 22 players already on our books....assuming that all those offered new contracts took up their offers.....unlikely I know....but there isn't too much room at present for new players to come in.

 

Bad news today that Yann Songo'o has decided not to accept a new contract.....I don't know if Songo'o would fit in to Lowe's plans....but personally I am sorry to see him go....always gave a 100% effort and MoM many times.....disappointing to see him go.....how does this effect Carey, Lameiras, Fox, Joel Grant & Letheren....will any of them stay....is this a clean sweep moment at Argyle.

 

News that Graham Carey is having a medical at Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia.....this has been revealed by Daily Mirror Sports Journalist Henry Armstrong.

Wow how true is that....we'll soon fine out I expect.

 

I might be seen as a chauvinistic pig....but the women's World Cup leaves me stone cold......accept for the FA Cup Final...all the decent football since has been siphoned off to Sky etc....and we've been left with women's games....and now we've got the women's World Cup starting.....and low and behold we've got the opening game in France this evening.....France v South Korea..... also a big multi page supplement in todays newspaper telling us about all the teams and players to look out for......yawn.

 

Argyle have kept July 20th & 27th clear for two home friendlies against stronger opposition....at present there are no teams lined up.

 

Always liked Songo'o. 100% player even if he wasn't the best footballer in the side. Loved the effort he gave and wish him well wherever he ends up. Sorry he is going.

 

Haracles Almelo who came 7th in Hollands Eredivisie League (top league) are Argyles opponents during their summer training camp in Holland...will be played at the Polman Stadium on Tuesday 23rd July.

FA Cup first round will be Nov 9th.

Interest seen in Calum Dyson by Grimsby......lets hope they hoover him up.....

 

There is talk of Ruben Lameiras on the Charlton website.....and talk elsewhere that he will be a Charlton player before the end of next week......he is free and Charlton could easily offer more money than Argyle can afford.

 

Sad news today of the death of Justin Edinburgh at 49....Leyton Orient manager....he was a defender who in his time played for Spurs and Portsmouth.

 

We still wait for the introduction of Ryan Lowe and Steven Schumacher at Home Park...hopefully on Monday.

But the rumours flow about the players that we are interested in......Danny Mayor, Nicky Maynard, Jay Oshea, Kurtis Guthrie, Jay Lynch, Mark Bunn, Chris Stokes, Tom Davies... and that Ryan Lowe's mate Jurgen Klopp wants to lend him young Liverpool players....whew... can't wait for Monday to come and see what really happens.

 

All this speculation is the same every close season. The bloke will get introduced and it is likely it will be tomorrow. When he is we might just get a small idea of who and what he is chasing. Until then it is all rather pointless don't you think.

 

No reference from PAFC that Ryan Lowe will be introduced as Argyle's new manager officially today.....over a week now since the appointment was confirmed......is he on holiday ?....is he already working behind the scenes.....lining up players etc......just a little more news for the fans please......before the 'Lowe out' brigade start up before 'Lowe in' has officially happened.

 

Have faith..... or alternatively, "don't worry about a thing,'cause every little thing gonna be all right"

Derek Adams has been mentioned regarding the Bury job......seeing where their last manager has gone....I doubt that will ever happen.
