Having slept the night on it and read other comments on other sites this morning.....and trying to make sense of it all.

1.....After the final game against Leeds all Miron Muslic wanted to do was go home to his .......family......ok nothing wrong with that everyone needs a bit of family time.

2.....But he left with a sour taste in ones mouth....commenting about various things to the club....plus .......saying that he wasn't sure if he was coming back.

3.....He had brought in Adin Osmanbasic to be his Assistant Head Coach.....who he had worked with .......before.

4.....He had also brought in Tom Randle to be his Head of Recruitment....another person who he had .......worked with.

5.....He had started early to bring in players....James Paterson a forward. also Caleb Watts a .......midfielder....both signed up....also Jack MacKenzie a left back was .......coming but not yet ......signed.

6......All good signs that Muslic was coming back surely....you dont uproot 5 other peoples lives if .......your not serious about retuning...do you ?

7.....Then Muslic tells PAFC that he wanted to talk with Schalke04....they reluctantly allow him to.

8.....Next thing PAFC hear is that he want's to be released from his contract (I assume there was a ......clause allowing him to do that) because he was in talks with .......Schalke04 over becoming their ......manager/coach.

9.....PAFC are disappointed over what was unfolding but have to accept what has happened.

10....It seems that £1million has been agreed as compensation to release him from his 3.5 year ........contract with Argyle....not confirmed by PAFC...but totally possible .........because Schalke04 ........although at present in the second division are not without financial resources.

11.....This leaves Argyle in a bit of a mess....yet another failed manager situation how confident can .........our management be of getting it right next time.

12.....Where does this leave Osmanbasic and Randle....chosen by Muslic.....will they leave and will ........we get compensation to release them from their contracts.

13.....Paterson, Watts and MacKenzie must be wondering what their futures are as well.

14.....How do our senior players see it now.....will they be looking and wondering that if another club .........comes along and offers them a contract would the best thing .........to do would be to move on.

15.....We could have an exodus of players and no team to push for promotion back to the .........Championship this coming season.

16.....How much more is Simon Hallett prepared to put up with....ok he is a self made .........millionaire....but he isn't that stinking rich to be able to ride the continual .........waves that are .........crossing Argyles' bows at the moment.

17.....This financial package that Hallett has been telling us about since last summer might never .........materialise now... with so much choppy water around the club .........who would be mad enough .........to put money into a ship that seems to move from one storm to another......football isn't a .........profitable business at this level so .........hearts generally rule transactions normally....but an ........outsider would probably run a mile the other way.

18.....The next few weeks will be so important for Argyle....the growth we have seen over the last few .........years could be blown away by anymore bad decisions.....I will .........be nervously watching this .........space.

The BBC are conducting a poll on who should replace Muslic. That’s helpful I don’t think.

Maybe our management might pick up a point or two from them.....they haven't covered themselves with too much glory in the last two years.

I see that I’m doing both Ryan Lowe and Stephen Schumacher a disservice: both are back in gainful employment: at Wigan and Bolton respectively.

That’s not stopping the ‘Erald tipping them as possible candidates though.

As you might guess I am suitably pee'd off with these managers these days. In the advert for the next one there needs to be clauses. First must live at the ground. Second must eat pasties. Third agree to pay Argyle a minimum of £5m if they want to leave within the first 10 years. Four agree not to get compensation if they prove crap in the opinion of Supporters. Fifth anything else we can think of in the meantime.

It seems that Schalke04 have negotiated the compensation payment down to the high hundred thousand Euros....plus various bonuses....and at sometime a friendly match.

Typical Argyle deal by the sounds of it......started off as 1.2million Euros/£1million but then reduced to the high hundred thousands.....plus various extras.....why do we allow that to happen.....and at sometime a friendly match....which I doubt will bring in any extra dosh.....personally why would we want anymore dealings with Muslic....I expect the next thing will be to negotiate a deal to take Adin Osmanbasic and Tom Randle off our hands for a reduced compensation deal.

We seem to always get short changed and always accept a reduce deal....we're obviuosly just the country cousins or local yokels who should be happy that we get anything at all.

The more I read about the way Muslic has done the dirty on Argyle....the more I want to tell him what to do with his friendly match.

    CONFIRMATION

That Jack MacKenzie a left back has now signed a three year contract with Argyle and becomes the third new player this pre-season.

Muslic can just feck off and I'm not bothered about him anymore.

Have purchased my season ticket notdistant. Argyle are bigger than the sum of their employees.

According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg PAFC have received €1million or £840.000 compensation for Muslic's contract buy out.

One of the managerial favorites for the Argyle job at the moment is Spaniard Ruben Selles Salvador...he has had three short managerial post in his career at the moment.....with time at Southampton, Reading and Hull.....his record is very basic at these clubs who have all been struggling.

    His stats are.....124 played.....45 games won.....31 games drawn.....48 games lost.....giving him a win average of 36.29 %.

Not a career at present to shout to loud about.....but it is early days at the moment....let us wait and see.

Hull's owner Acun Ilıcalı bought the club in January 2022, since when he's had 5 permanent managers and is now looking to appoint a 6th. His name a by-word for irrational hiring and firing, particularly in the case of Liam Rosenior, who took Hull close to the Premier League play-offs in 2023/24 and was nominated for the Championship Manager of the Season award, when he was promptly sacked and most of Hull's best players followed him out of the door.

As far as I can see, Selles was well thought of by fans at both Reading and Hull. Let's wait and see.

Simon Hallett has written a Chairman's Chat for May 2025.

Quite a positive write-up.....he explains that the problems he had back in the States have been resolved.....but he does tell us that the long awaited for investment hit problems....negotiations have taken too long and the key information that both we and the EFL required to complete the deal has not been forthcoming...and news of the new investment is no longer imminent......As a result existing shareholders....himself, Argyle Green and the Holliday family will provide the funds to ensure that we stay on course with our plans.

Simon says that they will be back in the UK later in the summer......full statement can be read on pasoti.

Glad to hear you’ve got your ticket Sensible. You told us to had a few problems during the season just gone and I was concerned you might not have renewed it this time out.

It was a tough 12 months football-wise from Christmas 2023 to Christmas 2024 which was enough to put anyone off. I never thought the players weren’t up to it but it was, as they say, lions led by donkeys.

Well here’s a story and a half in the Times: the UK may reinstate its capability to use tactical nuclear weapons.

'Jets to carry nuclear bombs' and 'Look Who's back'

    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c74nvg21n84o

We had this as recently as 1998 but it was scrapped after the fall of the Soviet Union in the so called “Peace Dividend”. I believe the French still have both strategic weapons on submarines and small battlefield air-dropped nukes.

That’ll be controversial……. Although it makes sense as Europe will never be able to match the size of Russia’s conventional forces and we can no longer rely on the USA.
