Media outlets are talking up that Argyle are interested in St Mirrens striker Gavin Reilly who scored 22 goals in 44 appearances last season.

 

Ryan Law has signed his first professional contract.

 

I've never understood how Jason Banton has failed to make a success of his career....he has just signed for Torquay in the National South....which is level six.

 

Because he's a plonker is how plym. All he had to do was apply himself because there definitely was some talent there. Too big an ego though and he just didn't knuckle down. Obviously been the same wherever he has gone.

 

In his first spell he scored a great goal at Wimbledon....curled it around the keeper from the left corner of the penalty area.

 

Talent isn't everything. I've made a career on that basis!

Saw someone make comparison of Banton and Hourihane. Banton was the hot young talent but look where they are now.

Conor Hourihane has been at Aston Villa 18 months, scoring 6 goals in 35 games.....only played 18 games last season....has he been injured or out of favour.

 

So we are down to two first teamers with outstanding contracts.....David Fox and Yann Songo'o......Fox is an important player for us I hope he is staying.

 

The stats on Wikipedia are incomplete. The Villa official site credits Hourihane with 37 appearances in 2017/18, playing an average of 83 minutes per game with 9 goals and 2 assists.

Derek Adams has said that the deadline has passed for contract signing, and he has heard from all players.

From what I can see that leaves us not knowing what is happening with Yann Songo'o, Alex Battle, Luke Jephcott and Dan Rooney....but we are being told that Rooney has signed a contract...although no official confirmation as yet....I assume we will hear in due course about the others when Adams wants to tell us.

 

Released Paul Paton has signed a contract with Falkirk.

 

Derek Adams has not ruled out a possibility of Matt Kennedy returning to Argyle sometime after his release from Cardiff....the problem is he has cover for wide position players.....Lionel Ainsworth and Gregg Wylde both have a years contract left.....unless he could move them on some way and create space for Kennedy to be resigned.
Adams has said that there will be more signings before pre-season training starts on Thursday.

 

Rumours that we are interested in 19 year old (soon 20) Everton mid-fielder Antony Evans....captain of their U23 team....spent time at Morecambe 2016/17 season.

Talk of Tafari Moore a 20 year old (nearly 21), 5ft 8in Arsenal defender coming on a seasons lone....sounds a a busy little player.
