Heard good things about Cape Verde like think we are going to try the Rui Palace some really good deals on to be honest because it’s outside of the school holidays.

Riu Palace is where we stopped, it’s great.
See my review earlier in this thread, one of our best holidays ever, totally relaxing

Some sort of strange vibe here. Old blokes who just attack anyone who praises anyone other than safc. No matter the price. Bit concerning to be fair.

Nice 2 week break with my family in a great resort in Lanzarote for us. Didn't get away last year so this one is class. Cost a fortune mind. Think this will be the one and a few years off. Just not worth it man. Proper fortunes

On our holiday countdown now, we fly 27th out to Cyprus, cant wait for my morning strolls in the sunshine in shorts and t-shirt. Fig Tree bay is a lovely morning walk. The wife text her friend who lives over there and she said its warming up nicely and should be mid to late 20s by the time we get there, thats ideal for me.

If your looking for accommodation you might have left it a bit late as there isn't lots in abundance.
Be wary over campervan and motor cycles especially on the single track roads of which there's plenty especially on the West Coast.
Hope you have better weather than we had as the rain was horizontal in John O Groats when we did it in late May a few years back.
Other than that....enjoy.

Been to the dom rep 7 times over the last 27 years
In the north Bahia principe very good I was there the day lady Diana was killed
Been to the Catalonia bavaro x2 excellent hotel beach a little bit of sea weed food and entertainment good
I’ve saved the best till last the grand palladium punta Cana /bavaro resort x4
It’s laid out in three parts all parts are excellent and food and entertainment top class so many restaurants to choose from and no booking
The beach and several bars are top class lovely sandy beach and drink and eateries doted all over
2018 I think was my last visit and it was still top class
However the airport and security is over the top too many queues to show different documents
Nevertheless it’s a great place to go
Sadly for us no more long haul
Give it a try

Ohhh just to add the north is best for summer the south it’s very rainy in our winter

Thanks mate. Looking at Punta Cana, reviews seem pretty good. Appreciate the note about the airport, will see if there are any options to pay for fast track
