Usually I'd wait until a couple of weeks after the season to gauge the Not606ers for their opinion of the squad, but this season has been so diabolical I've been holding off on this since early April. So with that in mind, for members of the first team squad, every player should be marked with STAY, GO or LOAN:

If I've got my arithmetic and ages right that would mean we would need to buy a centre half and a striker which is enough I think

Veljkovic - loan (big opportunity this season to develop is wasted) .
Carroll - PL loan.
Pritchard - loan to league below.
Ceballos - stay (IF Spurs will play 4-3-3 at some time) .
Falque - sell (too late for him now) .
Obika - ditto.

Other Academy kids - loan where possible.
 
Can't be arsed going through the whole list.

Who stays and who goes will depend almost entirely on who we bring in as our next manager. If Sherwood stays, we are ****ed.

If we get a recognised quality manager in, I think we'll keep whoever we want to keep, including Lloris, Vertonghen, Walker, Sandro. Lamela, etc.

The players I don't think can hack it with us (if Levy has ambitions of top 4) are: Dawson, Naughton, Rose, Ekotto, Siggy, Dembele, Kane. The juries out for me re LOLdado; I'd want to see how he can perform under a decent manager who knows how to set up the team to play to its, and his, strengths, before casting any stones.

As for the rest, I'd like to see them sold, but that will all depend on who we are able to bring in and what funds, if any, are going to be made available. We need a massive shake-up, but I doubt that we can afford it.

Thanks RCL - just saved me the effort as I agree with almost all of this and the reasons given.
One change however, is that I would like us to keep Holtby. (And yes, I would probably prefer to keep Benny - but only as a support LB - his international experience would be useful especially if we have a EL campaign to contend with)

One things for sure - this summer is likely to see a load more upheaval and just hope that any changes happen sooner rather than later.
 
I can't believe that people want to see more wholesale changes in the squad. Most of the changes above imply 12 out and seven in. Are you all mad?
 
Not sure it's as much about 'want' as about 'expect'.
For me, I cannot see Vertonghen and Paulinho staying around, or Lloris for that matter.

I think most answers in this thread (and elsewhere) are provided on a "wishful thinking" basis.

We all know that we'll end up keeping and trying to play players who simply should not be in a top 4 side, hence the reason why most of us will forever be pessimistic regarding our chances of ever getting there, again.
 
Difficult to know where to start. Naughton, Rose, Dawson. Most definitely get rid of. We need to lighten up on midfield players. Who goes would very much depend on who the new manager is and who he wants to keep. Some players, most of whom have been mentioned, may demand a move anyway. After this season, you could hardly blame them. I very much doubt that the current reality even vaguely resembles the vision they were sold.

I know we won't sell as many as I said, but in reality we need to.

We will probably sell 2-3 and bring in 2-3. That won't be enough imo.

Of course there are many that criticise wholesale changes then say we should do exactly that. Probably the same people who want our managers sacked and then when they get sacked say Levy doesn't give mangers enough of a chance.
