i would say we need hard workers over players with technical ability. we have plenty of those, but no one in attack anyways who will run his socks off all game, chasing lost causes and being a nuisance to the opposition defence.
tiote is much like song other than he tends to be more rash.......agree m'villa is not what we need. Another attacking midfielder instead for me.
He would be a good squad player though, as you say, he's been good throughout his career, our squad players have been mediocre at best.

We need cover for Song be it M'Villa, Frimpong or Coquelin but someone who can actually push him and provide QUALITY cover. We need more than just Podolski and tough to get a 3rd choice striker happy to play a bit part espcially when we only play 1 upfront. Just thinkning there are losts of decent Premier League players who are old, expereinced, inexpensive but 1,000 better than what we have right now!! If Blackburn go down Yakbu is leaving for sure?? Agreed on Gervinho...really not convinced but willing to give him a 2nd chance next season Don't understand the love for Merte?!?!? Although he did get somewhat better he is clearly not suited to the Premier League and for a monster is average in the air We want to win the title we need to either have Wenger recapture his scouting ability to bring in players like Pires, Henry, Veira or you need to spend top dosh on the higher profiled players like Vertonghen or M'Villa...Chelsea spend 20m+ on players like Essien and Drogba and that was the needed quality to be Champions, we can't cut corners again
I'm not keen on the idea of spending 20 million on a back up for song, when that money could go on someone like Kagawa.
Poor comment this Jayram. He will help us win trophies provided he isnt bought in as an rvp replacement. He could get us vital goals like ljunberg. He could play wide or up front thus giving us a back up to rvp who doesnt sit on the bench as they can get game time out wide. If podolski falls through we should buy him.
Unpopular because he is young? Well, he certainly is an entertainer. Difficult to imagine a dull game with him and Podolski in the same team. Raw talent, might need a year or so to work his mway into the team. For me he is a more realistic signing than Goetz or Hazard, and shows just how overpriced those two are.

Looks decent, but too young. The last thing we need are more under 18 chokers. In the next window, forget Gotze etc. we should buy experienced players who know how to win.
i disagree tbh i think this guy is going to definitely make it big and i'll be devastated if spurs get him though i understand where you're coming from.
