If we sold Borini I'd expect about £10m for him. No ****ing way on this earth would I pay £30m for Lallana. I'm not exactly happy about us paying £20m!!! And Rooney
I really like Borini and would be dissapointed to see him go, but he could be really good for Saints and just a sub for us. £20m plus Borini though? No Way! £15m plus Borini maybe...
I agree with both of you, I reckon Sunderland would be willing to pay £10m for Borini, he's done well for them this year. But Lallana isn't worth £30m, especially when you think we bought Suarez for £24m!
11:39 Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers insists that he is looking for quality over quantity this summer when he tries to add to his squad. 13:11 Former Liverpool striker Neil Mellor is warning his old club to sort out a deal for Adam Lallana before the World Cup or risk being outbid after the tournament.
I don't agree with that argument. We get Suarez at a bargain price (courtesy of him biting someone), to put it into context, Darren Bent joined Aston Villa for £18m-£24m in the same window as we signed Suarez. Transfer prices have rapidly increased since we signed Luis too.
Buying Rooney for £30mill at age 18 is a lot better deal than £30mill for Lallana at 26. For a start- 8 years more to spread the depreciation of the asset over.

Rakitic would be on my shopping list if I was Rodgers. Reckon wouldn't cost much more than £10m and with Sevilla out of Europe next year a move to a CL club would hopefully be appealing. Goals and assists from central midfield, calm on the ball and hitting his prime.
A done deal for lallana according to some journalists with no sources: http://www.givemesport.com/464849-adam-lallana-agrees-20m-deal-to-join-liverpool
Although more than I'd like us to spend on him, I could tolerate £20m. However, Until the Liverpool website or Dave Whelan announces it...
Not too fond of the possible deal, but £20m would be the max I hope we would pay. I guess we need more players, but I don't see him starting should it happen.
I totally agree, but signing Konoplyanka is a much better 'gives us another option' signing imo. However, we do need to improve our first eleven also.
The plank is a bigger risk despite costing less IMO. Lallana is proving in the PL and he's English so should fit in with the many English lads we have easier. I suspect Lallana is the midfield recruit though so wouldn't be surprised to see a attacker come in too.
We really need a box to box defensively minded midfielder most of all, in terms of signing a midfielder. Watching the Europa finale, Rakitic is some player, keeps things ticking over and some great passes. Standing out in a game where the opposition are on top.
Totally agree but since Brod loves Gerrard so much and shows no sign of dropping him, who would come to sit on the bench?
Post 1889 - said it earlier as well, Rakitic would be my first choice. Very good player and just what we need in the middle.
