Not one of the Newcastle players have given a **** for weeks, no way would I want any of them! i think we should be aiming for the next calibre of player now too, lower placed teams are no longer are target areas.
dont see it happening sadly but be nice to see teams like saints keep hold of their players. not sure what their financial state is (heard they was in debt?) but if they can keep hold of that team and manager they have a ruddy good chance of getting europa next season. nothing against the players teams like that have but english price tag for players is a farce. Bony looks a good player, but he want to play backup?
I like Bony but he's not a Brod signing as he can only play up top, not flexible enough. I don't want Caulker!
Bony? Bony FFS . NO. we should be getting the players that would only go to CL clubs and that walk into our first team and capitalise on the fact we are a title challenging side. If that means we only sign 2 players this summer then fine. But no more so-so "back-up" signings, they get us no where. (Aspas, Alberto...)
Add Costa to that. The guy gets stuck in, doesn't give up and can score a few from across the front positions.
think any of them would take a chance on joining the prem? seems to me they are very happy where they are, just wondering if we could get any more Germans take a chance and come to the prem like Mertesacker,Podolski etc
Borussia Dortmund full-back Marcel Schmelzer has revealed he is flattered to be linked with a move to Liverpool. Reports earlier this month suggested the Reds would make a bid for the German international at the end of the season - with his contract set to expire in 2016. And while he remains happy at Dortmund, Schmelzer has welcomed the news of Liverpools interest. He told Goal.com: "Of course I look forward to hearing things like that and it's nice when top clubs are interested in you." Source: Daily Mirror
Liverpool appear to face a significant battle with a very reputable rival for the signing of Martin Montoya, with reports suggesting that Bayern Munich are planning a move for the Barcelona starlet. This is according to reports from Germany cited by talkSPORT, which claim that Montoya - who only signed a new deal at the Camp Nou last month and is credited by such sources as a long-term Reds target - is also a target for Bayern, who will consider making an offer at the end of the season. While the new four-year deal handed to Montoya suggests that Barcelona are intent on keeping him for the foreseeable future, it is worth noting that the 23-year-old has played just 13 games in La Liga so far this season and is hardly considered first-choice under Tata Martino. The promise of first-team football could presumably tempt the £10 million-rated right-back into pondering a move away from the Catalans, with both Bayern Munich and Liverpool potentially attractive destinations given their respective domestic successes this season.
Not sure if it's been mentioned already, but apparently Lallana is pretty much a done deal. Hope it's true, but can't say I'd be surprised if someone like Utd picked him up
If it's a reasonable price then good, but £20m + then I'm not to keen! especially when we need to strengthen elsewhere first.
Depends who they get in to manage them I suppose, I can see LVG having quite a lot of appeal to players in the transfer window.
Agree with first bit. However, CM is most important IMO. Look how much we've missed Hendo! Lallana os more attack minded though.
Doesn't Lallana play in the number 10 role, also he's played along the front three this season too, I think anyway.
