Didn't Liverpool originally say that Borini could stay and fight for his place until Sunderland came in with 14 million? Would suggest that they don't mind keeping him. Just not sure when he'll actually play except in the cups. Re Sandro: Would Spurs have sold to us?
Borini wanted 90k pw at QPR but they were only willing to go to 55. Ffs, who does this guy think he is?? So now he will just sit and rot. How much we paying him?
Does he? I'm not sure that is the case. The case is that Sturridge, Balotelli, Markovic and Sterling are better. Lambert v Borini is tough but Borini is at an age where he deserves to be playing games, not sat watching. Lambert is in a role that suits him at his age. I think its also partly what Rodgers thinks is best for Borini.
may i offer the same can be said of arsenal wenger "only interested in quality" then signs welbeck..... god that is still funny.
I was about to say I'd expect to see Borini get game time in the domestic cups but we have such a squad not that he might not even get in the reserve team Using Saturdays line-up... Migs Mankiller - Lovren - Sakho - Moreno Hendo - Gerrard - Allen Sterling Balotelli - Studge ...as the first eleven for sake of argument, the next team would be something like: Jones Flanno - Skrtel - Toure - Enrique Lallana - Can - Lucas Coutinho Lambert - Markovic This leaves Johnson, Borini and Suso unaccounted for. Of course, you could make an argument for all three of those to play: Johnson is liked by Brod and seems to be a first pick for some reason. Borini and Lambert if a close call, I'd say it depends on the team we face. Suso is a quality young player who needs to deliver soon. He could easily play the AM role in the second side with Coutinho dropping back into Lucas' place.
Lambert is more of a goal scorer than Borini too though, hence me saying it would possibly come down to who we are playing and what we would be wanting from the player.
Probably a good way of looking as really there can be arguements over who was injured/no and who would play but last weekends team was strong Overall.... Jones Flanno - Skrtel - Toure - Enrique Lucas Lallana - Can Coutinho Lambert - Markovic would seem more realisitc though i still need to see lallana actually play CM box to box cos i don't buy that yet and markovic is an unknown.... really that team is......... average? top half, bottom half? not sure. Toure is past it, and you'd still wonder up front as well. Its not so much a reserve team as a decent squad as you can prob take any 3 of that second 11 and insert direct into firsts and aside from toure not panic. toure, johnson and prob borini (sorry) would give me nightmares... I don't add lucas as a direct swap with gerrard (ONLY) is no legs for no legs.
We are well sorted for any penalty shootouts Make sure Lambert.Gerrard,Balotelli and Borini are on at the end and thats four penalty takers and then we have a German to make up the 5
As soon as i put it down i was thinking this, but bring them on with seconds to go, as our manager is a TACTICAL GENIUS
Not quite. Foreign markets remain open as does the lower leagues loan window so we could still lose one or two players
so... ten players on loan 4 of which are to move the player out... alberto, aspas, coates and assaidi 2 are to decent level (origi and wisdom) so how do we class ilori loan? I was not impressed at choice. Smith was a lower level but as much as he could hope for. Teix needed his and its an interesting manager too for us... then that leaves ibe. The right move? Who knows. he needs it but is it high enough level
Don't agree with you on Alberto, its not just to move him out. Brod has already said the intention was to loan him out after buying him as with Ilori. Move players out: Aspas, Coates and Assaidi To hopefully improve the player: Ilori, Alberto, Origi, Tex, Ibe, Wisdom and Smith
