I think Shaw and Lallana are good but they are going to be going for so much this summer it will be crazy. Both could easily crack the 20 mil mark. Think we can get better value out there. Some guy Rodriguez in the German league, heard he is OK...........
they will top 25mil and maybe 30 if the chavs go mad. they are good but f me there's a lot of good players. yes barkely and shaw might be the "next" bale but god its too much for anyone sensible. barkely will be a huge cost to a city type club i feel... .shaw must be chav bound seeing he thinks he's a chav at heart.
Lallana has lookd good but if he goes to Chelsea is he going to play ahead of Willian, Hazard, Oscar, Schurlle, Salah?
Nope. Same as if Barkley goes to City - that's just Rodwell MkII waiting to happen. Silly players, ill advised and ruining their career.
We should stay well away from both of those, they are both way overpriced and could both turn out to be flops.
Its about improving the squad. Surely that means replacing the weakest components with competitive options. We already have Aspas and Borini so Id want to see the Spaniard go first.
Glad Chelsea are after Lallana and Shaw - I don't fancy paying £50m for the pair, which is probably what Soton will ask for. Good players but we can do so much better and for less. Also, Roberto Firmino has signed an extension at Hoffenheim. Looks like the club realise that clubs are eyeing him up so this should maximise the transfer fee.
Real Madrid have become the latest team to signal their interest in Argentine winger Juan Manuel Iturbe, who is on the radar of three Premier League clubs. Iturbe, 20, is currently shining on loan at Hellas Verona. The Serie A club are expected to sigh him permanently from Porto for a fee of around £12.5m at the end of the season. However, it seems unlikely that the Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal target will remain at Verona for very long, with a number of Europe's biggest sides circling. In addition to the Premier League trio, Roma and Inter Milan are on the forward's trail, while sources in Italy now claim that Real Madrid want him too. The Bernabeu giants have already contacted the player's camp to sound him out over a summer switch - just weeks after their fierce rivals Barcelona were believed to have made an approach. Liverpool are set to battle Merseyside rivals Everton in the summer for Dinamo Moscow's winger Balazs Dzsudzsak. The 27-year-old Hungarian international has, according to the Express, set his heart on Champions League football and there are doubts Dinamo will qualify for the competition next season. Zenit St Petersburg are currently four points clear of Dinamo in second place and the Moscow side have a tough run-in, with seven of their eight remaining games away from home. Liverpool and Everton are reportedly monitoring developments and planning to move for Dzsudzsak in the summer. Brendan Rodgers' side look in pole position for the signature of Dzsudzsak with Champions League qualification appearing to be a mere formality this season. The Reds currently sit in third place and can move to within one point of current Premier League leaders Chelsea with a win over Sunderland at Anfield tonight. More importantly, fifth-placed Everton are eight points behind the Reds.
Montoya is very good going forward but a bit suspect in defending, would be a similar situation to Johnson, wouldn't mind someone a bit more bite in the back. Zambrotta would be an excellent version of that ( The Juve one not the Barca one). Able to defend and get forward. Criscito (sp) at Zenit could be that and he is 27 so getting to that time to move or stay.
I think Montoya is pretty sound defensively, intelligent positioning, marking. But then again, he plays in a Barca team that isn't used to defending so I guess he will be better tested elsewhere. Re. that other guy, I've heard he's pretty good but I've not seen for myself lol!
Liverpool will make an £8m move for Inter Milan's Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic in the summer. The 19-year-old is frustrated at a lack of action at the Serie A side. There is also links with defensive reinforcements today, with Bayern Munich Jerome Boateng the latest to be linked.
Reminds me a bit of Coutinho. Picks the ball up and likes to run at people and seems to glide past them. Need to work on final ball though.
Who knows... The inter link is what puts bargain flashing in people's eyes due to coutinho but let's be frank who knows! It could be he's not worth 2 mil I have no idea so judge upon arrival
My Dream and mainly hopeful starting 11 for Next season first game: ..........Simon Johnson....Skrtel.....Sakho....Shaw ----------------Gerrard ---------Countinho------Kroos ---Shaqiri-----------Suarez-----------Sturridge
I see no reason to drop Strling or spend big on a first 11 forward. Bring in Bender, Moreno (maybe?), a top RCB and after that a natural winger to give Rodgers the option of width if he ever needs it.
