pace but old. i think yes he would be a better option by far but he'd not last as long. as for e'tto.... he should be deported for trying that crap on....
I think he meant a bit old for a "young potential" signing PS...this isn't me agreeing or disagreeing
LAcazette is the definitely the type of player we should be signing - young/potential, can play in a number of positions. Young enough to still be an understudy but old enough to still have have an impact. More importantly, he's a better fit for the team and our philosophy than Bony, Eto's etc.
and what if he fits the style we have like torres fitted rafa style and scores more.... and i was talking the 29 year old
I'd prefer Alexandre Lacazette to Eto'o. In fact, if there is not much chance of getting a marquee forward then Lacazette is ideal, he may not have amazing stats but his game has improved over the last year, he is at a good age and can learn a lot from Brendan Rodgers and Daniel Sturridge. For around £15m it would be good business
24 in 107 is very similar to Sturridge's record prior to coming to Liverpool. Goal striker, i.e. replacement for Torres, he ain't . Bet you didn't want Sturridge, did you? 15 in 36 last season, but watch some of his games on youtube (not the highlight reels, but the ones which show all of his touches) and you'll see what he's about. Very good player, still only 23 and heaps of talent.
I didn't want Studge but it had nothing to do with is goal record. I didn't want him because he had velcro on his boots, still does too!
Really? You've never revealed this ground breaking information as to why you didn't want Sturridge before
Let's sign him, by any means, but then let's go out and get somebody experienced with scoring. Lacazette may be a lovely player to have, akin to Sterling or Shaqiri, but in terms of being 9 in a physical league, he's too small and has had a couple too many barren seasons in an easy league. We simply need someone bar Lambert to seamlessly slot into the 9 in games Sturridge won't be available for. The comparison with Sturridge doesn't stand. I recall Sturridge as a beast at Bolton, was very impressed by him as a 9. Also, subbing at City and Chelsea is a harder environment for a striker to flourish than playing in Ligue 1. Outside that loan spell, Sturridge was never given a chance. Wary of his sulky spoiled character, sure.
