People keep referring to Lallana as a forward, I really hope he isn't used across the front 3. Sturridge was training in the open training session, so should be fit I hope. I would imagine a front 3 of Coutinho, Sturridge and Sterling to start next week.

  2. Sterling, Coutinho and Lambert are fine though

No because we have big Rickie L <diva>

Sturridge will be fit, I'm pretty sure. Then Sterling who has looked the most dangerous pre-season will be fit (baring no last minute training injury #touchwood #nojinx) and Coutinho could do a job wide left for a few games if needed

  4. Working on doesn't necessarily mean we have a set target, it just means we're looking to buy one.

I'd prefer Lallana in the front three to Coutinho. Coutinho's passing gets wasted and he is not a goal threat.

Lallana has an awesome cross and is a goal threat.

  6. What if the front three are in a triangle rather than a long? Coutinho behind Studge & sterling?

I'd still prefer Lallana I think.

    Coutinho next to Henderson.

  8. Not for me, Lallana and Hendo in the middle is perfect for us; lots of energy, pressing and countering

Anyone know what injury Flannagan has got? Can't remember seeing anything about it.

' Breaking News: Liverpool to sign Reza Ghoochannejhad

Ian Ayre was given one task this summer, to sign a big name striker. Without any success in attracting the most prestigious names across European football, he has turned his attention to the Iraqi striker. "I can't get a big name striker, so I'm getting a big named striker."

When asked whether the Iraqi hitman, who failed to catch the eye at Charlton last season, is of the talent level Liverpool require, Ayre said: "I have been given very specific instructions and I will act on them.... sort of. It doesn't even matter, those damn yanks don't know what they want. They keep screaming 'Touchdown' when someone dribbles the ball into the penalty box and complain that long distance shots don't yield 3 on the scoreboard."

He was also asked about the drawn-out negotiations with Sevilla left back Moreno, to which he responded "Who?"'

This is the reason I love this site!!! Gotta laugh.

Saw Newcatle fans were talking about him as he said he would move to Newcastle if it turns out we aren't interested.

He's obviously not the smartest bloke in the world is he! Way to get your potential new fans on your side <laugh>

By the looks of it we're trying to sign a big name striker and Bony is our back up option if we fail to find one. Knowing our luck by the time we decide to settle for Bony he will have gone to spurs

I remember seeing Reus for the first time at Euro 2012. Germany dropped Mueller for the quarter final tie and put Reus in. I though 'what the hell are you doing!!!' when I saw the lineup.

I spent the game thinking 'I'd love this guy at Liverpool!'.

    -

I'v suggested Lallana could play False 9. Rodgers has said he is a fan of the system. Suarez was a kind of false 9/striker hybrid. Reus would be awesome there or wide.

Lallana's versatility will still keep him in the team.
