Fom what I have seen of Martinez I have to say I'm not overly impressed. He looks similar to bony but at least we know bony can cut it in the prem. any outside player is always a risk ( Reus excepted) The Shaqiri link has also gone very cold. Think he would have been a brilliant signing.

What really gets me,is where are our scouts. We keep buying these up and coming prospects, but nothing materializes. Why can't we find a Remy/Bony that will produce. People seem to be warming to the idea of Bony, at 19M how come Swansea found him last year for 11M or whatever it was, year before found Michu for peanuts,Villa got Benteke, Qpr got Remy etc etc All our buys seem to be a few years away from coming good, wheres our bargain that will slot straight in and produce straight away. Maybe we should do a Spurs and see who Swansea are interested in as their next striker and just show an interest in whoever they choose.
Tend to agree with this. Not too many have come and made an immediate impact. Only 3 I can think of and last years summer transfers were pretty rank. 2 out on loan and another was on loan last season. Let's hope this years are better. Obviously buying established prem players helps

Really? Falcao... Would be one hell of a statement, but his wages would be astronomical unless he took a pay cut. Also weren't the rumoured fee's around £45m for him?! Also, why Italy, if he's playing for Monaco? Unless they are on pre-season there
