They'll be OK until the Barkley money comes in next summer, and with his new contract it's likely to be a bumper bonus fee

no i like everton despite tobes <whistle> i'd quite like them to break thier duck similar to arsenal. who long now? 1995 fa cup?

i think martinez has a nice style and without moyes donkey ball baines, coleman, barkely and of course howard and now lukaku make a really good first 11.

why not wish them well.. hell they might even take utd out while we win the title

Both on new long term contracts mate :)

It's the Fellaini dosh and the TV revenue increase that have given us the opportunity to spend big for once.

    Happy ****ing days!!!

The question is will they build a trophy cabinet? Or still settle for the janitors store room? :bandit:

To be fair Everton do have a trophy cabinet, its just really really dusty. They'll have to hire the cleaners who just did Arsenals.

they all are now days tobes.

i know you think or want to see some loyalty from him and hope he stays, but if the club get offered enough and the club has a lot more to offer than you can currently provide, he will be off.

money is king now days, look what it has done to the saints.

Of course he'll be off at some point in the near(isn) future - If he keeps progressing and continues to be one of the best up and coming youngsters in the PL (along with Sterling etc.) He'll want to move to a club that wins things.

I know what Tobes response will be......(Sterling will have to move on too then).

But Sterling has a much higher chance of winning things at Liverpool than Barkley does at Everton...

That would be a decent 5-a-side team (to play against Soton and Blackpool), but think you're a bit short of a full 11 there.

Lukaku could be Everton's Sturridge. Except half as good. And twice as expensive. Anyway.

In the last 8 seasons all you've won is a league cup, it's been a couple of years since that now... Must be pretty dusty in the Liverpool trophy cabinet too! :D

He could have taken twice what we were offering him in his new contract. He signed for £65k, while United are paying Shaw £130k by comparison. So I think it's unfair on the lad to not give him credit for that.

Of course at some point in the future if he can't get to the pinnacle in both wages and trophies with us, he'll maybe look at it differently, but you can't lump all pro's in the same bracket.
