Cause he's turned out to be a bit **** really. Soton gotta hope he'll turn up this season. With all the money they'll have, can see one of two things happening. 1. The owners pocket the money and **** up Soton completely. 2. They betray their principles and go out and buy aload of cheapo foreign players and become just another one of the midtable teams.
Do you think the fact that arsenal paid £16 million for chambers ( never heard of him never seen him play that I'm aware of ) put the £20 million for lovren and £25 million for lallana in more perspective? Watching the game last night it's so apparent where we need to strengthen ( apart from a top top striker) and that's at RB or LB . Johnson had as bad a game as I can remember and that's saying something. He constantly lost possession, gave the ball away and was caught out of position. Surely we cannot go into the new season with this useless lump as our first choice RB. Rodgers appears too intelligent to not see how poor he is!
I really feel bad for Soton! It's not totally our fault... the owners sold us all these players (and other clubs). I really hope Soton reinvest most of the money- it would be terrible if they didn't. I'd hate to see an up-and-coming side just give up and fall back into obscurity.
****ing hell Dave, you should give us £15m to take them off you! Seriously, I'd prefer Hernandez for £15m than Balotelli. He puts the ball in the net and you don't seem to want him anymore. I just think, in the price range and abilities that we're talking about, Hernandez would be a good deal. Won't happen though!
Thought it was just me being old and not keeping up with the latest lingo, glad to see your`e confused too
Not sure I understand. Do you mean if a Liverpool player had the same accent or what has he said that's so bad?
If you ask that on the Southampton board I'm sure they'll be happy to provide you with multiple answers.
You may feel bad for Saints fans but the club itself is a commercial entity. Nobody is forcing them to have a clear-out of their players - it's their decision.
I guess it depends on the extent to which you can assume that, if a player wanted to leave (which appears to be the case every time for Soton so far) and you force them to stay, could you expect them to still perform to an appropriate level? You would hope yes, but there's always a risk. Then selling them may be the better option (so you're not actually forced, but it's the best course of action).
We'll never know the internal machinations within Southampton. However, there seems to be a lot of 'cashing-in' going on with very little investment.
