Some managers want to introduce width to their team. Some managers want to introduce height to their team. Mourinho obviously thinks his current team needs help falling over!
I couldn't give a **** if they are right or left footed, its about where they are best suited. Weren't Lawro and Hansen both right footed? Skrtel is proper rank at LCB though, he should only ever be played RCB. I usually play RB nowadays, I can play CB too despite only being 5' 8". However, stick me at LB and I'll usually have a mere. I don't know why other than not having a left foot for anything but standing on. Some people can do it, others can't.
I'm terribly one footed- my left foot might as well be a peg... but I actually think I'm slightly better on the left than the right. Makes crossing more difficult of course.
If played on the wing then I can play left or right. I have a good cross (probably my best attribute) but also a powerful shot so either side suits depending what is wanted. The crossing is the reason I get played RB rather than CB (apart from the lack of height).
i reckon that's only for this season though as utd don't have cl football, they go in for him next season, unless, hopefully it all goes wrong i can see them getting him next season sadly, if they still have these silly funds we hear about to spend, that is.
He'll be 31 next summer, so given the sort of player that he is, I'm not sure he'd have too many years left at the top, i.e. it would be a short-term signing, unless he could adapt e.g. to a CM position.
you probably see him more than me nozzer, you not think he is good enough to adapt his style and play a dif way?, or only knows how to play one way and when that goes he is average, like most with age who have lost that bit of pace.
Well, he's really improved his consistency, team play and end-product in the last 1 to 2 years, so I certainly wouldn't rule it out. Presumably it would partly be a question of his desire as well. One reason why Giggs went on so long wasbecause ofthe way he identified with the club and his passion for it. Would Robben be prepared to do the same for Man Utd? Not sure. Van Gaal may help there, but to be honest, I don't see van Gaal staying much longer than three years (could be wrong though, obviously).
