Not many people are. Hendo was vital to the team last year and was the most improved along with Sterling. His closing down and energy caused opposition all sorts of problems and I've said it before and I stick by it, he's one of the best I've seen that playing little 1 touch through balls. If he can add a few more goals to his game he'll be a very good player. Also puts in a decent cross from free kicks. Definitely one to take over from Gerrard in those wide areas.
I post on here be as there's **** all going on on the EFC board, simply really. No malice, decent banter, but largely sensible chat, when posters allow themselves to engage.
I think you're kidding yourself mate, he's got the football intelligence of a garden shed. Sure he runs around a bit, and he did cover lead legs last season, but that doesn't make him any good, as he proved at the WC
He also got 4 goals and 7 assists from midfield, which is exactly the same as Barry and McCarthy combined last year.
Ah yes the 3 games in the WC in a **** England team... certainly better to use those 3 games to sum him up rather than the 40 games he played last year. Guy's improved massively since he signed and if he continues then he'll be a very good Premiership player.
Sorry, don't agree, I think he improved last season, but that wouldn't have been hard, as he was ****ing awful in the previous one. The success of the side in general reflected well on him, but taken in isolation I think he's a limited footballer with a good engine.
Trying to make a point by referring to Hodgson's England? Either you're making a completely ******ed point or your tried to make a joke but it was poorly delivered. Reality, as always, disagrees with your opinions concerning LFC: please log in to view this image
Whilst I don't see him as a Gerrard replacement, hasn't got the range or ability of passing Gerrard has always had, saying he lack football intelligence is unfair. He makes runs, closes people down quick, covers gaps others have left and gets into good positions. He more of a Masca type player (not the same quality though) but with ability to go forward. Masca is abit of a ****ty passer as well.
It will be interesting to see Hendo in a good few games that doesn't include Gerrard. With two other defenders with the same legs.....
So what? Meaningless stat. He was playing in a side that spent most of the season on the front foot lead by Suarez. Let's see how he does this season......if he proves to be brilliant then I'll eat my words, but for me he's nothing more than a chaser
