Didn't the Swans pay 12m for him though? They aren't gonna take a hit on a bloke that bagged 16 PL goals in his first season..
Bony for £10m and I still wouldn't get excited. ****ing hell BR, we've finally got back into the most prestigious club competition in the world and we're still signing second/third tier crap. Bertrand? REALLY?
I'm not fussed about paying a bit over the odds, but Bony and Bertrand should not be our targets at any price
Give it time mate Lallana and Lambert will be good signings, dont kow a lot about Ca. Hypia thinks he'll be very good We just have to trust and hope it works out. Still early in the window, no point getting stressed yet
Didn't Swansea pay £12m for him and he's just scored 15+ goals in his first season in the Prem and looks like he won't be another Michu as he's built perfectly for the Prem. Swansea are going to want a profit on that and that's fair enough I reckon Lallana would be a steal at £5m #carryonthepedanticness
Bony I don't know about but if Bertrand has been identified as potential being wasted by crap clubs like Sturridge was then I don't mind
How so? 16 goals in his first season in the Prem. More than Suarez managed in his first season. Only a few less than Sturridge managed last year in a far weaker team. I'd have no issue going for him... if we hadn't just got Lambert who is going to be playing the exact same role.
what did suarez do his first season its not pure he scored 16 goals v crap sides its... I can look a thte guy and see his strengths and weaknesses and not feel he's anywhere near good enough to step up to play cl etc etc.. simple as.
The n and y obviously aren't missing because you managed to put the N in "signings" and the other y in Hyypia
Why? The guys strength are he can score goals and has done it in the Prem & WC. Big plus for a forward in my eyes. Can link up play and hold the ball up like he's done for Swansea. Can play that role up their on his own and be a focul point of the attack if we need to change our style. We all moaned at having no plan b, we start buying or aiming at players who would provide that and people moan about it. Yes, he' no Suarez but we aren't going to find another one. But if he chips in with goals and assists in games where we are struggling then that's all he needs to justify the purchase. Bertrand on the other hand is a huge no
I'm thinking there must be something wrong with Jackson Martinez we don't know, no one seems to want to buy him
He's a poor man's Giroud. He's an old fashioned centre forward, decent finisher(44% shot accuracy though is not so great) and good in the air, but slow, doesn't create much and can only play upfront. Don't see that he brings anything to a fast counter attacking side except a plan B, which for £20m is a massive waste considering we don't really have our plan A sorted right now.
