I'm more worried about spending big on Lovren and then learning we didnt need to.
Alberto barely got a look in. Loads of times we were chasing a goal and I was screaming for BR to bring him on and give him a chance, but he'd bring on Allen instead or Moses even. You can't write him off or say he didn't have much impact when he had no opportunity to do so. So no, I don't agree on him. The CB links are because one of Agger or Skrtel will be shipped out in all probability. Napoli are tentatively interested in either. Toure won't be here for much longer. Long term, you'd (for example) be having Sakho, Lovren, Skrtel and Ilori as our four.
BR obviously rated Moses more in training at the end of the day. But yeah, we'll see on those two. I'd love to see one given a chance with Sterling on the opposite wing with Sturridge up top! If Skrtel or Agger were to move I think it would be a shame, but Napoli are sorted in the defence now. Could see somebody like Skrtel going back to Russia or something!
Alberto looked ok when he did play. Maybe he had issues off the pitch. He has been promised first team football by Malaga so we will see what he can do next season.
What an image that's conjured up.... She's dragging me out shopping in a bit, massive hangover as well ffs.
Don't know a lot about this guy only that he was the stand out player for USA against Belgium the other night. Worth a punt? ---------------------- Liverpool are interested in Seattle Sounders star DeAndre Yedlin and could invite the young full-back on trial during pre-season. The 20-year-old is rated as one of the best young players in America - and he added to his reputation during the World Cup in Brazil, picking up an assist against Portugal and impressing versus Belgium. Reds scouts were already aware of Yedlin's abilities having followed him since the U20 World Cup in Turkey and they are now looking into a deal for the player. According to reports in America, Liverpool want the player to join them on trial over the summer with a view to a permanent deal later in the transfer window. Liverpool are looking to add to their defensive options and with Yedlin able to play right-back, left-back or as a winger, he would offer real versatility to the squad.
Yedlin has played a few world cup matches. He looks very exciting. Strong, athletic and loves to bomb forward.
